CITIZENS AGAINST VOTER ABUSE GET GOING AT HIGH-RISE

( Early voting for the March 2014 primary elections begins in almost a month and reporter Na'Tassia Finley reports how one group in the Valley is trying to eliminate voter fraud.)
BROWNSVILLE, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — The group, Citizens Against Voter Abuse, also known as CAVA, is spreading information on voters rights and what to look out for when it comes to those out there trying to steal votes.
CAVA President, Mary Helen Flores stated, "They are already being hired, they are already getting out there looking for people who are willing or who are able to manipulate into getting their votes."
Commonly known as politiqueras, these men and women are hired by politicians to target the elderly and disabled. CAVA taped flyers to doors at a high rise off St. Charles Street in Brownsville with information and phone numbers on how to report election abuse.
(In the photo at right, politiqueras under the leadership of Norma Hernandez harass supporters of her daughter's opponent at BHA High-Rise during 2012 primary runoff.)
Flores says in past elections they've found discrepancies in mail-in ballots coming from the building, "We helped to review the mail-in ballot applications and mail-in ballot carrier envelopes which have their signature of the voter or the person who assisted the voter on them. We found that in reviewing them every mail-in ballot from this facility had been tampered with by the politiqueros."
The team was successful in taping flyers to every door on the property, but it wasn't easy. They could tape, but not talk, that's what managers of the building, which is run by the Brownsville Housing Authority, informed Flores and her team, "We are here to educate and help end the corruption and we've been given a little resistance."
Flores added during their distribution, one resident confirmed the politiquera presence around election time, "One lady asked me, she took a copy in her hand and she asked me to please leave one taped to her door so no one would bother her."
So far, CAVA has distributed 450 flyers, they plan on handing out at several other buildings and adult daycare centers where they think votes are being stolen.

Erin, Ernie, and Norma Hernandez are crossing their fingers and using the politiqueros like Herminia Becerra to get Sylvia Garza Perez elected to County Clerk so she in return can manipulate the legal system in conjunction with the District Clerk in their favor once they are subpoena or indicted. Can someone tell these audience which candidate for District Clerk is being supported by the Hernandezes?

It's great that a organization like CAVA is doing it's part.
A shame that such things are necessary.
