DID YOU MAKE THE INVITE LIST TO SPACEX SHINDIG?

By Juan Montoya
The groundbreaking for the SpaceX vertical launchpad atr Boca Chica Beach was by invitation only.  So was the VIP luncheon held at the city's events center on Paredes Line Road.
However, the shindig to welcome SpaceX to Brownsville to be held at the Sports Park will be open to the public as will be the party held at Clayton's on South Padre Island tonight.
Brownsville Mayor Tony Martinez is expected to speak at the public celebration which will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at the Brownsville Sports Park on Merryman Road.
Because only a select group of  people were invited, those that weren't were hustling around for an invite to the groundbreaking and luncheon to which Texas Gov. Rick Perry and SpaceX owner Elon Musk were scheduled to attend.
One of those scrambling to get an invite was none other than Cameron Cameron County administrator assistant David Garcia, who was miffed when his invitation didn't materialize.
"David sent a SpaceX rep an email inquiring as to whether there had been a mistake made that they didn't send him one," said a county employee. "I heard that they emailed him back saying that there had been no mistake, that he hadn't been invited."
Another county employee said that only about 60 people from throughout the valley had been invited to witness the groundbreaking and that a large contingent of security was on hand to protect the governor and the invited guests. Among those attending were the county commissioners, the county judge, and other valley elected officials.
Things got off to a late start and instead of making it to the Brownsville events Center by 11 a.m. as had been planned, the groundbreaking did not start on time and was about an hour late.
"It was a cluste----," said one. "They were going to put signs welcoming the governor and Musk to Brownsville last night but they were afraid they would get stolen so they waited until this morning to put them along the highway."

Their disdain for local public presence is par for the course they have set up. This bunch of delusional, bullshit elitists only have dollar signs in their eyes and to hell with the rest.

Alfred E. Newman and Da mayor made the shit-list for the lynching, er, the launching. Da Mayor volunteered for the trip to Alpha Centauri. He was never seen again. He sent a cable to Bro-town, said he was a happy as a duck

Oh come one from the first post - do you think most people here even understand what a rocket is? Do you think they are even remotely interested in science or technology, being that almost half of Brownsville is a dropout? I wouldn't waste my time inviting Pepito either.

But wait; Kung Fu,the inventor of fire crackers was invited as guest for this Ching-Dig. Who's who and who -dat will be there.

Is the new Space-EX? When Boeing gets through with them, they will be lucky if they are shooting bottle rockets at Washington Beach.

"Both stocks are also down from their highs over the past month — Tesla by 14% and Solar City by 20%. Tesla topped out during the trading day at $291 on Sept. 4 and Solar City hit $76 on Sept. 12.

Elon Musk is CEO of Tesla and Chairman of Solar City, so he's been shedding net worth. How much net worth? He owns over 33 million shares of Tesla and almost 21 million shares of Solar City.

The declines from the peak trading values for those companies have personally cost Musk something on the order of $1.7 billion."

Bon Voyage!!!

Neither Musk nor the Gov made it to the lunch reception (actually did't need to).

Musk came by private jet, parked at the Brownsville airport, according to Larry Brown who shared at the reception.

That was probably the first time many of those people have ever been to Boca Chica Beach. Now they can say they were there at the beginning of the end.

CRIS VALADEZ AT IT AGAIN. WHY DOES THE JUDGE KEEP YOU ON PAYROLL? YOU DIDN'T MAKE IT ON THE LIST EITHER.

Didn't get an invite. Guess only the United Brownsville were asked to attend. Saw Queen Julieta smoozing with the dignitaries. What a gaggle of local egos out at Boca Chica Beach. Tony Martinez gloating like a mule eating briars....a shit eating grin. What a DORK! Not an even for the public, obviously. Tony likes to keep the public at "arms length"....he doesn't like "common" people.

The Gov was on the lam. He was eluding a grand jury subpoena for feeding the Musk herd at Boca Chica Beach. That' why he didn't make it to the free luncheon .

Apparently on one BISD Board Member was invited. Why, you ask? Because only one showed up. Dr. Montoya was also at the Luncheon, to which the Governor failed to show. Not a smart move if he plans to run for President in 2016.

Perry is out on bail and has to report to the police every 24 hours. No lunch for him or Musk, who had to get back to the garage and put out another Tesla engine fire.

Correction to Anonymous at 4:00 pm. - the bisd board membership that attended (I personally saw them, i was there) were Caty Presas and Longoria both clearly selling Longoria's reelection message. As earlier stated Dr Montoya was there. Also former trustee Eliceo Munoz was there (now as Mercedes Stisd board member)

I can list everyone else that i saw was there if anyone wants to know.

What the heck were Cata and Luci doing there at the reception? Nothing but stinking up the place if you ask me!

The Gov who is on the lam came by Camel to feed the musks at Boca Chica. The luncheon was free.

Da Gov will make Labola his national yell call. He will corner the market with the release of the 2 billion dollars he has with-held for public health. Now he wants the 2 bil.
