LOYAL REPUBLICAN RESPONDS TO TRUMP BASHERS

Special to El Rrun-Rrun
Well, Trump got elected, so I figure that everyone who was so offended and butt-hurt as to unfriend me for being Republican has done so already. I know that those people didn't really know me at all. I am about opportunity.

I am about the rights of an individual. Government is the problem, not the answer. Without bragging, I'm betting that I have personally helped more people to succeed through their own hard work and efforts than any government employee acting in their "paid" capacity. There are a lot of us that look at the world in just this way. We are not the bogey man. We are Republicans and are proud to be Americans.

Now everyone who wants to sit and sulk is welcome to do so, but not on my nickle – (basic feeling of most Republicans). I'm not claiming to speak for everyone. – (another common idea among Republicans) – nor do I want to tell you how to feel one more common Republican trait).
What I am saying is that the people here in the Valley who want better for their children than they had, might, just might, have more in common with their Republican neighbors than they thought.

All I am asking is that we all work together to make America great again. It isn't a hateful or distasteful thing and all Americans benefit. Americans just like me. Americans just like you. Now lets all go out and build something we can be proud of and say "We did this"!

Go and Fuck yourself! Trump is NOT my president!!!!!!

Whoever penned this opinion editorial is very proud to be a Republican but not proud enough to go public. Trump won on the lie that America is "not great". Trump's cabinet is composed of lobbyist, billionaires, wWall Street Execs, and White Nationlists.

Exactly How is that draining the swamp?

Do you honestly think they, the one percenters, will give a flying fig about the rest of us.

I did not vote for him. I am not happy he is about to become our president, but people must remember his success means success for us. So not matter how we feel we should be wishing him success for the country as an entity. Wishing his complete failure is wishing failure on ourself. I will not lie, on certain issues I want him to fail. But I hope he succeeds in bringing down the cost of military equiptment and gets his infrastructure proposal through

Yeah right let's get a bunch more community organizers and estampia recipients running things, that was working out well.

VPN Biden has publically stated HRC did not know why she was running for POTUS, SHE JUST THOUGHT IT WAS HER TURN. She did not run a good enough campaign to beat a reality TV star.. for POTUS.

Success for Trump does not mean success for the country. It means success for Trump and his cronies in the investment business, success for his cronies in business' that exploit the environment without consequence, it means success for racism and misogyny. It means success for those that want to do away with Planned Parenthood and a woman's right to her own body. It means success for those who believe the poor are not entitled to medical care or a public education. It means success for those who allow what they think they "feel" to triumph over science. It means success for those who think if you say something enough it becomes true regardless of facts. It means success for those who champion a right-wing supreme court and all that will ensue. Oh yeah, there will be a lot of success but it will fall on a relative few. And, if you think the government is not going to be run to benefit the Trump private business interests you are probably wrong.
When someone throws a rattlesnake into your house you may choose to give it a chance to do good but after it bites you it will be to late. So you don't sit back and see what happens, you watch that snake and work to keep it from hurting anyone. No appeasement.

Anybody want to know why Browntown is the backward capital of America? All one has to do to understand is read some of the comments here. Many come from hate filled backward people, who can't break old habits and will continue to vote for corrupt Dems as long as they live. They can't help themselves, it is a knee jerk reaction.

Utilizing upper case letters does not make you a "smart cookie". It makes you an internet troll who thinks people can hear him screaming.

The 1 percenters are the ones who control the United States; they don't have to be in South Texas. And I am the ignorant one?

Your statement "....and I agree we should put our differences aside and unite as a country like we always do no matter who wins." it typical Republican response when a Republican is in the White House.

You are not a Democrat; otherwise you would not forget what the G Obstructionist Party has been doing for the last 8 years. They are the party of NO when a Democrat is in the White House.

From FRONTLINE:

On the night of Barack Obama’s first inauguration, a group of top GOP luminaries quietly gathered in a Washington steakhouse to lick their wounds and ultimately create the outline of a plan for how to deal with the incoming administration.

“The room was filled. It was a who’s who of ranking members who had at one point been committee chairmen, or in the majority, who now wondered out loud whether they were in the permanent minority,” Frank Luntz, who organized the event, told FRONTLINE.

Among them were Senate power brokers Jim DeMint, Jon Kyl and Tom Coburn, and conservative congressmen Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy and Paul Ryan.

After three hours of strategizing, they decided they needed to fight Obama on everything. The new president had no idea what the Republicans were planning.

The two unfunded wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the budget-busting Bush tax cuts of 2001 and 2003 (the first war-time tax cut in modern U.S. history) and the Medicare prescription drug program drained the U.S. Treasury. Republicans Mitch McConnell, John Boehner and Eric Cantor voted for all of it.

For dog’s sake, conservatives even opposed and obstructed Republican policies that Republican special interests supported.

There is no end to Republicans’ crusade to obstruct this President even denying that he is the legitimate President to execute his constitutional authority and mandate in naming a U.S. SUPREME COURT JUDGE.

Over the past seven years, Republicans have done everything to not only obstruct the President, they have attempted to erase everything he has accomplished and presided over through 60 repeal attempts, frivolous lawsuits, and outright proposals to “abolish all legislation passed under Obama’s presidency.” If Republicans were not conspiring with one foreign nation to derail an international peace initiative, they were privately dealing with another hostile nation to prevent the release of American captives.

Republicans in Congress also took the extraordinary, and unconstitutional, step of usurping Executive Branch authority by passing legislation favorable to a foreign corporation and the Koch brothers. The same Republicans notified foreign governments that despite the Constitution gives the President of the United States authority to make historic climate deals, America was not be trusted and that Republicans would dishonor any deal they claimed the legally elected President had no authority to make.

Look, Republicans have used every dirty machination to prevent Barack Obama from being President whether it is taking him to court for issuing the exact same executive action as every Republican president over the past 60 years, to prohibiting him from holding BP responsible for an avoidable environmental disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. Republicans denied the legally-elected President his Constitutional authority and mandate to appoint a Supreme Court Justice. In fact, the same Republican who wasted four years of taxpayer time and money “to make Obama a one-term president” as the GOP Congress’ only legislative goal, said that it is up to the people to decide who gets to appoint a replacement for Antonin Scalia.

This comment "to make Obama a one-term president" from Senate Majority Leader reveals a common Republican belief that Barack Obama is not the legitimate President of the United States. What Mitch McConnell knows to be true is that the American people did decide who gets to appoint a replacement Justice and they re-elected him as President in 2012; whether or not Republicans like or acknowledge it. If nothing else, this Republican outrage should help remind Americans, especially Democrats, that considering the non-stop overwhelming opposition to this President, it is disingenuous to criticize Barack Obama as an “ineffective leader, abandoned and threw his supporters under the bus, or exists solely to serve special interests.”

President Obama has governed for the good of the people and the nation against overwhelming obstruction by what can only be called a “vast right-wing conspiracy” that plagued this country for eight years.

Your so silly.
How do you figure the BP oil spill was preventable, have you read the "DRILL LOG". There is nothing that the US Government could have short of either not drilling or mandating a caliper log be done on every well prior to running production casing.
You are right BP is a bad Oil Company, but those Deep water Gulf of Mexico Contracts to drill were handed out during President Obama's first term.

Another Melania Trump...You stole that phrase from Michelle Obama "his success is our success":)

Proud Liberal said...

I am not really sure what the "DRILL LOG" is nor it's relevancy. I hope what follows will enlighten you:

From Rolling Stone Magazine:: Granted, though George W. Bush paved the way for the catastrophe, it was Obama who gave BP the green light to drill. "Bush owns eight years of the mess," says Rep. Darrell Issa, a Republican from California."

During the Bush years, the Minerals Management Service, the agency in the Interior Department charged with safeguarding the environment from the ravages of drilling, descended into rank criminality. According to reports by Interior's inspector general, MMS staffers were both literally and figuratively in bed with the oil industry. When agency staffers weren't joining industry employees for coke parties or trips to corporate ski chalets, they were having sex with oil-company officials. But it was American taxpayers and the environment that were getting screwed. MMS managers were awarded cash bonuses for pushing through risky offshore leases, auditors were ordered not to investigate shady deals, and safety staffers routinely accepted gifts from the industry, allegedly even allowing oil companies to fill in their own inspection reports in pencil before tracing over them in pen

"The oil companies were running MMS during those years," Bobby Maxwell, a former top auditor with the agency, told Rolling Stone last year. "Whatever they wanted, they got. Nothing was being enforced across the board at MMS."

Per CNN REPORT: "Preventable failures were 'immediate causes' of Deepwater disaster"

Several "specific and preventable human and engineering failures were the immediate causes" of the BP Deepwater Horizon disaster the presidentially appointed Oil Spill Commission said in its much-awaited report, "DEEP WATER: The Gulf Oil Disaster and the Future of Offshore Drilling".

The event "was almost the inevitable result of years of industry and government complacency and lack of attention to safety. This was indisputably the case with BP, Transocean, and Halliburton, as well as the government agency charged with regulating offshore drilling - the former Minerals Management Service or MMS," said commission co-chairman William K. Reilly.

You should read this Reuters report: Gulf Oil Spill Could Have Been Prevented By BP Workers Who Weren’t Consulted: Report

Sans any real documented proof, Donald Trump's campaign was nothing but "doom and gloom" about the economic status of the country. However, When Obama took office, the Consumer Confidence Index was a woeful 37.7 and had gone up 86 percent just four years later. By the end of 2014, consumer confidence was back to it’s January 2007 high. Per a Reuters report U.S. consumer confidence shot to its highest in more than 15 years in December as Americans saw more strength ahead in business conditions, stock prices and the job market.....The Conference Board said on Tuesday its Consumer Confidence Index rose to 113.7 this month from an upwardly revised 109.4 in November. That topped estimates in a Reuters poll for a reading of 109.0, and was the highest since August 2001. The unemployment rate recently dropped to 4.6 percent, its lowest since the Great Recession ended, and the economy has added an average of 188,000 new jobs a month over the past 12 months. To listen to Trump, it is almost as if the past eight years, and President Obama’s restoration of our economy in the face of endless GOP obstruction, never took place. Of course Trump's inflated ego will take credit for it and he is not ever president yet.

I am a PROUD INDEPENDENT LIBERAL & AMERICAN; my name is not important! As far as Democrats working with Republicans, I say NO FREAKING WAY! HERE are 5 ways OBAMA TRIED TO WORK WITH REPUBLICANS AND WAS REJECTED

Obama is one of the worst presidents ever that in 8 years could not learn to compromise or the Art of the deal to get things accomplished with Republican but instead choose to cry obstruction and always blamed someone else. What a pussy.
