A DANGEROUS RIDE IN A WHEELCHAIR IN THE CITY

(Ed.'s Note: This wheelchair-bound man was rolling along against traffic on 12th Street heading north and had to dodge the oncoming traffic who came across him as they headed toward downtown. If you notice, the sidewalk on his right of the old jail is more than a foot higher than the one next to it so he could not use it to stay off the street. Cars made a wide berth to allow him to reach the next corner and he could be on his way.)

Dangerous for wheelchairs when u have a former county commissioner grandson get arrested for racing on December 19. That puts everyone in danger.

Maybe he just needs to get a bike. The city seems to be making lots of accomodations for the few bikers!

The city is going to go broke with the re-painting of so many underutilized bike lines. The one on 7th street got painted less than two months ago and this past week, it was rest ripped. Hundreds or perhaps, thousands of gallons of paint going to waste. But if you look around the city streets or pedestrians crosswalks, 90 percent need to be restripped but get neglected just to accommodate the painting of useless bike lines. City leaders got the priorities all screwed up. What of waste.
