COMMITTED MARCHERS ADVOCATE AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE

(Uniting in their core opposition to the introduction of LNG – Liquefied Natural Gas – plants into the port of Brownsville, protesters Saturday staged a march against climate change at Washington Park. Members of the Carrizo Tribe joined with Save RGV from LNG activists to urge local political and civic leaders to spurn the endearments of the LNG industry. The group claims that the plants bring tons of greenhouse gases that rivals coal emissions and that the promised jobs do not always pan out to what the companies promise.)

The current city leadership has consistently failed to bring jobs to the city and county. Lots of hype, lots of promises....but no jobs. Tony Martinez is a failure as mayor and based on the past, even dirty jobs would be better than no jobs. While the cities of Hidalgo County grow and prosper.....Browntown just sits like a piece of rusting furniture in the salt air.

Seeing lots-o-plastic in the fotos. You guys realize that is derived from fossil fuels, right? Oh, and crude oil is organic. So is natural gas.

LNG on the way. We need jobs in the poorest part of US. Fuck off fake ass protesters.

While I am sympathetic to those who seek to protect the saving the planet....a protest in Brownsville seems pointless. Trying to convince ignorant people who are starved for jobs to recycle, conserve resources, and protect the earth seems a bit ridiculous. We don't have the leadership here to be progressive.

Another good feature and way to see both sides of issue,
not just gossip

"both sides of the issue" ? Facts vs. personal attacks on the messengers.

"Fuck off fake ass protesters."

Let's see if you feel this way when cancer rates rise like those in East Harris County.

We don't want LNG. The only person who wants it is a Mexican who can't even speak English but no doubt getting paid to promote it. It's "photos" not "fotos" and "these" not "this" dummy. These petroleum corps only want to hire illegals and Mexies. Put the plant in Mexico then. Oh but then the cartels would invade and hold it for ransom huh. Go pollute your own country even more than it already eees, and move back since you love that dirty air and cancer water so much. Don't bring your trashy Mexie ways here. We won't drink cancer water just to give a few jobs to some wetbacks.
