D.A. GIVES CAR WASHERS GREEN LIGHT AT CTY COURTHOUSE

(Ed.'s Note: If memory serves us right, there was a time when washing cars on county property and its sparking lots was not allowed on Harrison Street. The concerns at the time was whether the county faced a liability in case one of the car washers got hurt or run over by a motorist who may not have seen him darting through the parked cars in the parking lot. Others objected to being solicited by the scruffy car washers as walked to a county office to do their business.

All that, apparently, has been forgotten and the car washers are back in full force. One county worker sent us this photo of an enterprising washer doing Cameron County District Attorney Chief Investigator George Delaunay's car in front of the county's administrative section. Is it alright for the washers to work the parking lot again? They probably do charge less than the Magic Time Wash or Car Wash Plus. Where do we line up?)

Its all about convenience for employees of the courthouse and the very people who enforce the laws and ordinances ignore things if it benefits them. Is that a parking space that the DA's office has assigned, with a yellow curb. Special privileges for court employees.....all common citizens excluded.

Is your informant ratting out the DA investigator or the poor schlub trying to make an honest buck? I say let it pass.

I'm all for the guy making a living, but remember the car washer a few years back you jumped of the top of the building? Now that's some liability.

George Delaunay is too busy trying to make his mustache look like Saenz's. They probably sit across each other and brush each others crooked mustache. Delaunay nunca sirvio para cacahuate.

NO pos WOW. Get paid by the tax payers while your government issued car gets washed, use tax payers water and building, no workers compensation if he gets injured, no over head, no taxes deducted just pure cash. Probably the cash paid to the guy is from the DA's forfeiture fund. Of course if the guy is stoned he will not be detained because it is the Chief Investigator from the DA. Of course no one ever see them smoking week behind the alley only the common folk smell the weed not the investigators or the DA. No one sees them passing the joint around. Of course the investigators can't see the joint with the dark glasses they wear along with the huge ego they have.

VIVA MEXICO.

At least they do not go around stealing from the cars in the parking lot.
The DA needs to concern himself with all the stealing going on in all the
neighborhoods around Brownsville - not just Gowen's Rio Viego. Saenz and
Rodriguez need to collaborate their efforts in doing something about all the
stealing going on in Brownsville, the All-American City. Ha!

They wash the da's car for free and in return he let's them work there. Everyone knows that. They also look after the county employees vehicles keeping away would be burglers.

The car wash people have been there for a long time. It has been brought up to commissioner's court and the court refused to address it letting them continue to operate. It's not the DA doing. As per the yellow curve, look at the sign, its reserved for police personnel and last time I noticed, Dalauney is a cop idiot!!!!

Just part of the UNDERGROUND BLACK MARKET ECONOMY that makes Browntown what it is, what it has been, and what it will always be.

Browntown is not a city in the State of Texas, it is a mass smuggling operation set up for the benefit of wealthy Mexicans.

Seriously, the guy is not stealing, he is not begging on the corner, he is earning a living the best he can and you fault him for not having a permit or charging tax. What is wrong with you?

I have had my front radiator grill screen stolen twice while parked at the courthouse next to an innocent "car washer". One car washer even used my van to lay out his wet rags. Who wants to serve jury duty when your car will be vandalized in front of center for law and order in Cameron county?
