MY HOW TONY GARZA HAS CHANGED THESE LAST YEARS

(Ed.s Note: Those of us fortunate enough to have worked on a personal basis with the former Cameron County Judge Tony Garza (and former Texas Secretary of State and former U.S. Ambassador to Mexico) know that the photo above is not one of him. It is the result of a snafu that can be laid at the door of some proof reader of the editorial page over at badly-AIM Newspapers. We say this because things happen, as they have happened to us a little too often for our liking. Nonetheless, on the bottom of the op-ed piece in the local daily, the real writer, Texas Sen. Juan "Chuy" Hinojosa is correctly identified as the writer of the article. Hopefully, embarrassing errors like this one will make those responsible a bit more diligent when they package the news.)

Could it be that Juan "Chuy" Hinojosa now wants a conviction before the forfeiture because his Mexican governors compadres are getting their drug related homes forfeited? It seemed to work fine before when the shoe was on the other foot. This is my opinion

"Chuy" Hinojosa is corrupt and an embarrassment to the Valley. He hides behind a big flat brimmed hat and, like other elected officials from the RGV, he has sold his soul to special interests. He is not our representative....he his own man.
