OK assholes one more time. Never talk to the police without your attorney present. Never. The vast majority of people in prison were put there by their own mouths.

It is the job of the police to make a case on you and extract information from you to help them do that. They lie and apply pressure as a matter of course.

This trooper should be in trouble with the state for the actions he took in this case. You Mr. Olivares are a disgrace to good law enforcement officers. Get another career

WOW!

I wonder if the DA was aware of the fabrication before anyone was charged. Moreover, I assume they were presented with a Michael Morton request well into preparation for trial.

Need to be more concerned about those questions than about Olivarez. DPS will take care of him.

And where is DPS agent olivares now? If he had any morals he would resign. For the rest of his career as a law enforcement officer his intergity(if any) will be questioned in court proceedings. Hes useless.

Integrity is the backbone of the law enforcement businesses. Once an officer losses that he should just look for another line of work.

It's ok folks. That's the new thing now in the south Texas law enforcement field. Look at Chief Galvan in SAN Benito, he tried to suspend his own officer for 3 days and was caught lying during the officers arbitration. That officer won his case and Chief Michael Galvan was caught lying with his own reported statements and by his recorded voice. He is still employed with the city and is now an un-credible officer and needs to be terminated or made to resign. Now any arrest case in san Benito can be dismissed due to him being apart of the SanBenito Police Department. Being dishonest is a charge in The Texas Penal Code.... and it's called PERJURY!! (Even the city policy does not allow any dishonesty and employees are to be let go if this occurs.) SMH

What you idiots out there need to know that the Feds are responsible for this not guilty verdict along with our elected DA. The Feds had Yzaguirre's auto theft task force unit selling those registrations. But we all know that they picked and chose who to prosecute. I am disappointed that our DA chose NOT to try this himself and should have! As much as I have respect for Gilman, HE was not the right prosecutor for this trial. I am willing to bet that this jury did not find him guilty was because they did not like Gilman or his presentation. The other and more than likely, the DPS agent who testified that she FELT there wasn't a violation and didn't listen to a more experience agent in the explanation. There is still the question of how does this crook, Tony have so much money in the bank? Well you idiots continue to vote for him! The only good thing is that LET'S hope that Tony will not be crooked anymore? Or will he get worse knowing that he can get away with it? Luis Saenz and his officer DROPPED the ball big time!

The only idiot speaking here is one that thinks they ever had anything on Tony and his Auto Theft Unit!! These guys were arrested and brought under investigationinto for political reasons. The star witness was a known criminal. He had every benefit from fully cooperating with these desperate attempts to bring down good law enforcement officers. I know Pete Garza personally and he and his family are good, hard-working, Christians. I feel sorry for the pain this case has put on the families. Lies, shitty investigation, and manipulated evidence has hurt many innocent people. Power that was granted to the DA and all other agencies was use to destroy people's lives

cc voter you are right and I agree with you 100%, Teflon Tony is for tony and not the taxpayers he could care less about them. The Real question here is where did all these $300k plus come from? of course Teflon tony says its from rental properties and BB QUE tickets??? Tony Come on I don't think Cameron county voters are that stupid, you being doing transas since you were at the City of Brownsville in charge of the tax dept and building inspection and all of your ex workers will vouch on that (ask Raul Mata). The good thing is that sooner or later you will get caught taking another $100,00 bribe, man that's a really stupid amount but hey maybe you cant count any higher or maybe its considered a misdemeanor if you take $100.00 or less hey I don't know. Maybe its time you give some serious thoughts to retirement any way you are already at that age. Y el otro way de Joe Rivera going over to testify on tonys behalf, gee whiz joe if you had heard the things teflon tony has said about you in the past man you would not be there but then I guess all politicians are the same, pura caca, so they hang around together.

Puro pinche Tony haters!! I bet if you needed a favor from ol'Tony you wouldn't be talking SHIT!! Focus on the incompetence within the DA office these morons destroyed families with this whole tax office raid. What about the innocent families that are effected by these political tantrums. The Public defender's office is NO place to conduct personal vendettas. That piece of shit trooper tried to take down good officers with his shitty investigation and had these guys license pulled. Turn about is fair play....State needs to reprimand your sorry ass Trooper Olivares. You give good cops a bad name!!

They investigate him on small things, they should investigate all the underhanded deals they make on tax properties. That's where he is making money, he and Luis Saenz used to own and operate game room in Brownsville. The thing is that we have a bunch of thief's in office, trouble is that they keep getting elected to office.
