WASH. PARK CLIMATE CHANGE MARCH SET FOR SATURDAY

The Lower Rio Grande Valley Sierra Club and Save RGV from LNG invite you to the Brownsville Climate March on Saturday, February 18 from 1:00-4:00 PM. The March will begin and end at Washington Park, located on 700 E. Madison St. Brownsville, TX. After the march, join us for food, music, and listen to community organizers talk about local issues like Zika virus, climate change, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and Texas native-led resistance. RSVP here.
Speakers include:
Gabriela Zavala, La Union Del Pueblo Del Entero
Josue Ramirez, Texas Low-Income Housing Project
Josette Cruz, Save RGV from LNG
Juan Mancias, Carrizo Comecrudo Tribe of Texas
Barry Goldsmith, Brownsville Meteorologist

We host these marches to let the community know that Cameron County is a climate change frontline community, and because we want social justice, environmental justice, and a clean energy future for our people. We also march to send a message to the people in power!
