SNOOK RUNNING AT JAIME ZAPATA SAN MARTIN LAKE INLET

(Ed.'s Note: This happy fisherman sent us this photo of a snook (rĂ³balo in Espanich) he snagged at the Jaime Zapata Memorial Boat Ramp on Highway 48 (Puente de los Lobos.) As beautiful as this fish is, he said that he had to catch and release because it was not within the 24- to 28-inch range permitted by the Texas Department of Fish and Wildlife. The fish he is holding was attracted to his red-tail hawk lure. In the note attached to the photo, he said that this morning's incoming tide brings along with it prize lunkers like this one, a 36-inch female snook. We are envious, even if he had to throw it back in the water.)

In memory of our Dear Jaime who got his revenge today in WDC. Those idiots
should be hooked on reel and dragged through feces.
