OK, illegals don't get the money! So what! If that seems unfair, they can go back to Mexico or wherever and see how that works out for them.

STATE OF THE CITY

...Now is the time for dilettante Mayor Mendez to hold a "real" State of The City during which he would give the community a full report on what it's doing against the Coronavirus.

- Have Dept. Heads answer questions that are on the minds of residents

- Have City Manager Noe Bernal outline what he and his staff are doing

- Update on local virus statistics

- What's the immediate future hold for Brownsville?

- What is the city doing for its large number of poor?

- Is the City Commission preparing itself for the day when they'll get back to work?

- Identify problems residents may not know about

- Speak to the idea of hanging tough and weathering the pandemic

The IRS will reportedly begin issuing $1,200 stimulus payments on April 9, but some Americans could wait up to 5 months to receive their check

So go get your check from what ever county you are a citizen of.
Better yet just go home.

Where are our leaders haven't heard a peep from Congressman Vela!!

Do the liberals that have been whining, complaining, hating and blaming everything on Trump for the last 3 1/2 years get a stimulus check? And if they do will they continue, whining, complaining and hating? We already know the answer but I figured I would ask anyway.

While local Congressman Vicente Gonzalez continue to call for a statewide "shelter in place" order from Governor Abbott, we hear nothing from our Democratic representatives about giving money to those in the RGV who might be left out of the COVID-19 funding. Why might we say Vicente Gonzalez and other Democrats don't speak out about the "injustice" you talk about Juanito; because the money that could have been given to our Valley citizens was given to the Kennedy Center, National Public Radio, illegal immigrants and refugees by Nancy Pelosi and Chucky Schumer and Congressional Democrats. We whine and bitch, but the Democrats are responsible for irresponsible legislation that cheats Americans, while looking out for their pet projects.

This is a global pandemic and will require a global approach to health and the economy. This will require leadership. If the U.S. is going to be the leader, Trump is not the guy for the job. He is a global embarrassment with no credibility on the world stage.

Biden 2020!

Awwwwwwwwwww. Sad face. Pero las cantinas siguen abiertas? No, no les quiten las chelas!!!!

So let's be clear, two things need not be mutually exclusive. Trump and his team are incompetent. He is surrounded by sycophants. And out of incompetence real and manufactured comes the profiteering of the benefactors of the president.

The Trump Organization has asked its Russian banks for help in paying its bills.

Ja ja ja ja ja

From the local daily:

Q: I don’t usually file a tax return because for me it’s not required. Am I out of luck?

A: Not at all. People who typically do not file a tax return will need to file a simple tax return to receive an economic impact payment. This can include low-income families, senior citizens, Social Security recipients, some veterans and individuals with disabilities who are otherwise not required to file a return.

From the IRS:

I am not typically required to file a tax return. Can I still receive my payment?

Yes. The IRS will use the information on the Form SSA-1099 or Form RRB-1099 to generate Economic Impact Payments to recipients of benefits reflected in the Form SSA-1099 or Form RRB-1099 who are not required to file a tax return and did not file a return for 2018 or 2019. This includes senior citizens, Social Security recipients and railroad retirees who are not otherwise required to file a tax return.

In the wake of Trump's boasting of "big, strong, powerful" companies stepping up to provide desperately needed services in a pandemic that is likely to kill at least 100,000 Americans, ProPublica went looking for instances of Donald Trump's own companies providing similar charitable support. As in, any. Even a bit.

They couldn't find any. As high-end New York City and Chicago hotels stepped up to provide rooms for medical personnel or isolated patients, did Trump's own hotels step forward? Nope. Did any of Trump's myriad properties offer up hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, or anything else? In California? In Florida? Virginia?

Anywhere?

Nope.

All companies are paid for their services or products. If hotels are used to house patients, government employees, military, etc. they will get paid. So if Trump would use his hotels would you complain that he's making money off the government? My guess is you would. You've got to much hate for Trump bro. Quit being a hater.

What is the purpose of government? "The government is to do for me those things that I can not do for myself." Ex. fire protection police protection you get the idea. The government that takes your money, yes TAKES your money is not there to wipe your ass for you, I believe you can do that. Wait now we want them to supply the paper to do it. Ever wonder why your taxes are so high? Lots of ass wipes!!!!
