Cardenas, who has publicly announced that he is between residencies and no longer lives at the place of residence he filed when he ran for office, says he now lives somewhere else in the district. (A search of the Cameron County Appraisal District indicates that his wife now lists an address outside District 4 as her place of residence. Why isn't Cardenas listing his residence there?)
He then publicly declared that he is now running in 2025 for the At-Large-B position which will be vacated by commissioner Rose Gowen who is prevented by term limits from running for reelection in 2025.
The TEC requires that a Campaign Treasurer Appointment be filed for such announcements whether they be public or private.

How does this surprise you?? This is the type of behavior and shenanigans these individuals are allowed to display. If this info is true, who’s gonna reprimand him?? They all have their own indiscretions to hide, so no will lift a finger to castigate this. Its business as usual on the city commission and its elite and untouchable members. Cardenas is a trash commissioner who does nothing. He’s in it for himself and it’s more obvious than ever with his lack of responsibility in this regard. He thinks he can get away with anything, he thinks he is above the law, and he thinks this is Mexico. Not a big fan of Roy De los Santos but i have to admit I’ll be advocating people to vote for Roy and spreading the word in the community. Pedro thinks he has lists of people and people will vouch for him but he can’t afford Pink Ape - Rodrigo Moreno. Can’t wait to see this idiot fall flat on his face.
