CRACKERJACK ROAD CREWS TACKLE STREETS ACROSS THE CITY

TAFT STREET TO INTERNATIONAL BLVD.:
BELOW, ASST. CITY MANAGER/PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR DORO GARCIA  AND STREET CREW AT CITY BARN
STAGECOACH FROM MORRISON TO ALTON GLOOR
DISTRICT 2 COMMISSIONER THANKS STREET CREW
AND COMING SOON...DANA ROAD

Special to El Rrun-Rrun
Employees with the City of Brownsville Engineering and Public Works Department continue to work on street construction across the city. E. Price Road, Harrison Street and other thoroughfares throughout the city have been serviced and a priority list has been established.

The ongoing work encompasses several aspects, including the replacement of curbs and gutters, as well as the process of milling and overlaying the street surface. A grateful District 2 commissioner Linda Macias thanks the crew for their outstanding work on streets in her district and the rest of the city, especially the job they did on Old Port Isabel Road between E. Price and Jaime Zapata

The need to repair city streets is staggering, according to city staff. They estimate that it could easily surpass the $500 million mark and instead they have targeted the most-traveled thoroughfares and made them their priority. So they are doing it de poco a poco. If you're interested in attending meetings between the Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority  and the City of Brownsville, call city commissioner Macias to find out their next meeting on streets that may affect your area.

Congrats to Doro Garcia and the crew! Superb work, guys.

It's all a City of Brownsville pony show, just to show that they are doing something and later blaming the storm for their failure of just scratching their balls for many years. For example, it's like when creamy brain suddenly tries to get a crappy border bill, after scratching his wrinkle balls for 3 years! Hahahahahaha! Hahahahahaha! Remember the idiots that were always chingando la madre with Trump being orange...now you hear puro crickets from those pendejos when suddenly Biden turned orange like a bag of cheetos! Hahahahahaha

Now that you have done a good job patching up some streets, how about doing something
regarding the many cars parked along the streets, being used by mechanics, dealers,
and money-laundering schemes. It is impossible to travel through some streets that are packed with wrecked cars. While you are in the area of Taft Street, how about going
down to Roosevelt between 15th and 16th and get those dirty, filthy, infected with rats properties. What's with the mowing of the Buena Vida defaunt property where all sorts of people came out during the night. The grass is as high as the windows on the once upon rental units. We have ordinances in the city but not inforced, so you may now include it with the one when people were not allowed to bring camels downtown because they were pooping all over the place. Look at the properties owned by Trey and Tony and compare their streets to others. Todos hijos de Dios o todos hijos de el diablo. En Brownsville somes hijos de la chi----!

Streets are so much better! Great job y’all!

Don’t want to sound like a hater but isn’t that their job?? Isn’t that what their supposed to do anyways. Why make them sound and look like “heroes” . Yes their work is appreciated but all this work is long overdue!! Years in the making. AND SO MUCH MORE TO DO!! Brownsville streets give the surface of the moon a run for the money when it comes to craters( potholes) !!! So forgive for being a Debbie Downer but this work is just a drop in the bucket compared to the big picture when you’re dealing with our street disrepair. Just saying

I could care less about fucking Trump and his trumpers, but i guess i must have hit a nerve huh?? Pobrecito pendejo , nada que ver!!! ( I too know how to curse ). And unfortunately i do agree with you on one thing, Biden is too old and should have never run for reelection.. Ignorance is bliss. Have a blessed day

Give credit where credit is due. Stagecoach was done by a local contractor, not by a city crew. Check out other streets these guys are taking credit for and have not done. Please check your sources, Juan.
