Rules change through time. As for Ivana Trump, she was in the U.S. legally after she emigrated from Canada and obtained U.S. citizenship in 1988. She initially moved to Canada in the 1970s before marrying Donald Trump and settling in the United States.You tend to be brain dead regarding legal and illegal immigration.
As long as Donald Trump is a US citizen they derive citizenship wherever in the world they're born. Just the same as Barrack Hussein Obama was born in Kenya.
