Now in the red corner weighting 165 (?) pounds, with an unknown professional record the Cheezmeh Champion, from Browntown, Texas, via Los Fresnos, please welcome Linda Castro Draguuuuuuuustinovis...Dragustinovis. Her opponent in the blue corner weighting at (she says) 143 pounds, also with an unknown professional record from Brownsville, Texas, please welcome 'Sugaaaaaaar' Sylviaaaaaaa....Sylvia."
In the prefight chatter, ringside observers said the Head Cheezmosah who was seating with her entourage of burly companions at their corner, was eyeing Sylvia's male companion at their table (her husband, we're told) and when the woman rose to use the ladies' room, quickly moved over to gently spar verbally with the gent. After a few minutes of tet-a-tet repartee, she deftly moved back to her corner and sat waiting the return of the contender.
The woman soon returned and suspected something was amiss because of the snickering from her opponent's corner. After a few minutes, she rose again and feigned a movement to the powder room, but suddenly emerged to see Linda making her move to her table (and her corner man, again). Mincing no words, the two got down to business and ringside judges said Linda, the Browntown Babe, got the worse of the encounter, being grabbed by the hair and pummeled as the two struggled.
It was a hands down victory for the challenger and as the two were separated, Linda was heard to berate her hefty companions for not stepping in and stopping the frenzied Mexican dervish from flailing her about the canvas.
It was bedlam and mayhem in the ring and eventually both entourages left the arena, one much the worse for wear.
We understand that there was a post in the Cheezmeh FB page about a "catfight" involving one of the Cheezmeh friends, but that it was removed unexpectedly when people begin to ask about the item. Can you blame them? With one of their feel-good fundraiser benefit moneymakers coming, it is probably not good business to dwell on such unpleasantness. Live to fight another day, hey?
