If you ask me, this is another nail in the Mexican's coffin. No one wants to challenge them, not in our schools. Pobres gentes.

(No one wants to challenge them, not in our schools. Pobres gentes.) It's like someone commented on Bobby Wightman's blog: "Brownsville is Mexico, with freebies". Or something akin to that.
Dags.

The title should read, "It's official; TSC becomes cut rate!"

The irony is that the Cagel cartoon image would be of a little clown car full of board members exuberantly leaving town in celebration as the circus pulls out of town and TSC like the circus tent collapsing in the background.

Sad Faced Clown

Sad Faced Clown must be Trey Garza or a pendejo just as arrogant as him that was and is not smart enough to see that a seperate university and seperate community is the best structure for economic development and for the community. TSC is going to hire many of the same professor that worked for UTB so why is the education going to be valued less just because community college rates were paid? Credits from ACC transfer to UT Austin just like TSC credits will transfer to UTB. If you are going to argue that ACC is better than TSC don't even go there because by the same token UTB should not even be mentioned in the same breath with UT Austin. UTB is an embarrassment to the UT system and all the mamones down here think they are hot shot because they are UTB, wake up babosos you are only half a notch above a community college.

Half a notch above at three times the price. Who's running this? Pete Sepulveda?

Again, I don't understand the praise. This was an obvious move not something they did for the commnity. Besides, we keep forgetting most of the students in Brownsville whether enrolled in UTB or TSC don't pay for a damn thing. They get "free" money from Uncle Sam, right? So who really gives a damn what the tuition is? Why don't you point that out instead?

Students do give a damn about tuition costs because the remaining pell grant money stays in their pockets and does not go to subsidize Julieta's projects.
