ZAPPED DOWNTOWN BY THE CLOSED BARREL PUB

(Ed.'s Note: It was not Mr. Natural, but it was someone who is acquainted with the downtown area who pointed out to us the quirky sing that was left behind (deliberately?) at the old shoe store (ZAPatos) next to the Barrel House Pub. The sign is almost as distinctive as the three spheres that grace the old Whitman Store pawn shop. It's a sign of the times that both the Barrel and the shoe shop are closed, zapped, as it were, by the state of the downtown economy.)

Ah ! Those were the days of wine, women, and song; the suds were the elixir of life that soothened the throat. On the downside when I got home the little woman was waiting for me with a big broom and I had to suffer the consequences; but alas, that's life! Those libations are now just a memory.

Is it possible the mayor's downtown office is to blame for the lousy economy? Some pendejos think so. Ha ha ha ha ha

There are so many closed businesses in downtown brownsville it's starting to look like abandoned, oh but we are so quick to judge and criticize McAllens growth in business, these are the results of greed in Cameron county, bunch of fags!!

Da Mayor disguised as a Wino was seen drinking his Suds at the alley beside the Barrel House. He was wearing his Wino G-String.

The motto of the old Barrel House crowd: "Work is the curse of the drinking class." !
