Now, Mr. Camarillo and Dr. Norma, let's get to work and show voters they did not make a mistake in voting for you with such a wide margin. Think of the times when you were young and trying to go to college inspite of all the turmoils you may have faced. It was good to have a junior college at home to avoid paying so much extra money and when we went to the university, we were able to complete and stay on top with others who had been at the university already. We may have been called Los Tamaleros de Tamale Tech, but our tamales were better than anyone else!
Congrats to both of you and do not let us down! Vote your consciences and please to do not join the majority or minority side. Do what YOU know is best for our kids.

They keep graduating people that can't read, write or do basic math. Some of those become teachers at BISD and the cycle continues.
Then they get their masters and doctorate degrees online, become administrators and collect 6 figures until they retire.
Once again Camarillo you got the gig. By now i Hope you’ve grown some balls and don’t do the same you did as city commissioner and just follow the crowd and be a YES MAN. You are running out of chances and now you will be dealing with students futures ! Dont you dare fuck that up. Lets hope all these new candidates finally try and change things . Hate to sound pessimistic but it’s Brownsville, its a cesspool and the TURDS always seem to float to the top. Hope im wrong.
A student will learn as much as he or she puts into the efforts, and it does help to have good teachers who actually care about their students and not just numbers. I had excellent teachers such as Mrs. Warburton, Gen. Backus, Frances Eacho, Nell Wayne Bennett, Ruby Woolridge, and when I transferred to PAC, I kept up with the pre-med
students that were taking classes with me. I went to school and took 16 hours a semester and worked 3 jobs and I strongly feel that I got my money's worth.
Those who did not do well were those who were always after you to borrow your notes and to tell them what the test questions were after you took the test. They borrowed and plagiarized all their work and then wondered why they were not learning. were you onof those? 2<42 commentor?
11.48 pm, you are right many of those teachers you mentioned and i had some of them for my classes at TSC, many of these teachers were avoid by the students because those teachers made you earn your grade and not a fee pass, Kudos to those wonderful teachers that they taught you not only the materials in class but discipline, self respect and made you work extra harder if you wanted a better grade and they earned your respect too. Juan so one question, so what exactly are these 3 newly elected Cameron Appraisal board members really going to do? They dont have any power over appraisals to lower or raise values that is up to the chief appraiser and his appraisers? So then what? Juan, JJ De Leon y Hilda Silva perdieron gacho. People just see JJ De Leon and they turn the other way. Hilda Silva owes JJ a lot of $$$. They have no more vendor donations. Alejandra Aldrete ya no tiene pull. Maybe now she can go back to husband hunting and actually work at the BISD. JJ De Leon is back to being a nobody.

you still there burro? teachers suck they are lazy and get a big salary for nothing. even when I was in la resaca elementary at that time they were all fat ugly lazy and all were gringas. now mescan do the same thing get fat lazy and ugly. hahahahaha! lazy!
