How about a neighborhood brawl in which the weapons used included "metal tubes and a screwdriver," left four men hospitalized, and in the end no one wanted to press charges?
The press release is a classic example of vagueness and equivocal jargon.
“Investigators obtained statements where the participants confessed to their participation in the brawl where they sustained their injuries, but are refusing to file criminal charges,” the news release stated. Reportedly, none of the injuries were life-threatening. Just a few bumps and bruises.

I get that the Sherriff may be a dick but if they didn't respond and someone was killed would you be damming them for their lack of response? Just wondering.

Just another weekend friendly neighborhood gathering. Typical beer/alcohol induced brawl amongst friends and family members. They will eventually gather the following weekend to make peace and drink to their hearts content !! NO HARD FEELINGS. LOL. I think it's time to leave Sheriff Fife in the rear view mirror, that loser is gone and shall be soon forgotten!
