The states recognized as Republican and receiving welfare are mainly composed of white individuals. For instance, West Virginia has a white population of 90 percent, while the Hispanic demographic constitutes merely 2.15 percent. Therefore, it is not surprising that a larger number of whites are dependent on welfare. Ultimately, if the Republican party decreases welfare assistance, it will be the white population that suffers the most.
