As word gets around the student body at Oliveira Middle School, more facts are emerging relating to the attack of a mentally impaired child in one of the school's bathrooms.
So far, this can be said with any amount of truth:
1. A sexual attack did occur.
2. The attack involved a mentally-impaired 6th grade student
3. The alleged perpetrator was himself hearing-impaired, and was an eighth-grader
4. The perpetrator was apprehended and in custody and will likely spend a few weeks in juvenile detention
5. As far as anyone can tell so far, there was only one attacker
6. So far, there has been little effort by school officials on what they are doing to to get the message out to the student body and to parents on how to prevent these type of "incidents" and how to protect your child from such attacks

I was hoping to get an update on the investigation in El Rrun Rrun, since BISD has not released any information to The Herald. As parents, we need to know what is going on and why only selected parents were notifed. It could have been any child that was assulted. I stop and ask myself if this were the first time it had happened. I'll keep coming back to you for more info - thanks!
Kids walk around the halls, and no one seems to care. Teachers teach! They don't baby sit students. Parents have raised spoiled kids! The parents don't want to know that their kids are loosers! If a child is corrected the parents come running, poor mi hito. What about the kids that want to LEARN! Where are their rights... Parents of these kids need to go to the school and demand that these students that are disrupting the class room be removed! There needs to be many changes!!!
I m in agreement with A-2, schools are filled with too many hoodlums, that have no desire to learn. Some of this parents are loosers just like their siblings, looser, looser, loosers, that live of the food stamp programs, walk around with cell phones while getting reduce lunches at the cafeteria, I say throw them out of school and put their stupid ignorant rear ends ot work like slaves, this is where these punks belong.
