Teams of hazard mitigation specialists with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be available at Lowe’s Home Improvement Center, 525 E. Ruben Torres Blvd. in Brownsville beginning at 8 AM on Thursday, September 16.The teams will be available from through Tuesday, September 21. Hours will be 8 AM to 6 PM Thursday through Monday and 8 AM to 1 PM Tuesday.
Their aim is to provide information and answer questions residents may have about protecting their homes from future disaster damage as well as building or rebuilding their homes safer and stronger.
The FEMA representatives may talk with survivors about mold issues, mitigation and preparedness issues including tornado preparedness. They will also offer publications on similar topics.

FEMA comes to town but the city never gets any assistance from FEMA. What happened to the assistance for damages from Hurricane Dolly. If they came the money must have been transfered to the sports park. If the city received money, did it go to Ahumada's bank account, by mistake of course. FEMA likes to have a high profile, but its money or assistance is invisable. We can't expect much from FEMA.
