In the upcoming BISD Board Agenda you will find an agenda item recommending Jay Harris for Area Administrator as well as Dr. Rita Hernandez.
Now let's put this into perspective.
Jay has been known to follow Brett the Jet Superintendent were ever he goes. They hang out at the island and travel together like Valentino Liberace and his piano once did.
What is the connection? You tell me.
The word at the Glass Palace is that Jay does not have the support from Rolando Augilar and Ruben Cortez. But, we all know that the Cortez has already worked the deal for his wife Sandra Cortez at Sharp Elementary.
So apparently, this is pay back time. Are we witnessing the result of another back-room deal? Employees at Pullman Elementary are reporting that Jay is using a PE teacher who should be out in the playground with kids to work in the office as an administrative assistant. Is this a common BISD practice?
Which brings us to Dr. Rita. She just happens to be married to Rick Slick Zayas' law partner. With 52 days left in the election the pint-sized Zayas is pulling out all the stops doing favors to the right people and continues to feed off the carcass.
Those in BISD administration circles say Rita never paid her dues. She was an assistant for former superintendent Michael Zolkoski. Zolkoski, who was hired at a salary of $195,000 and was making $206,000 by the time he left in July 2006, listed two doctorates on his résumé. One of those, it was later learned, was from a degree mill named California Coast University, an online university in Santa Ana, Calif., that was not accredited when Zolkoski received the degree. We do know that Dr. Rita's degree is legitimate. However, when Zolkoski left in flames, the new Super Hector Gonzales realized she needed real campus experience and assigned her to Hudson Elementary.

You remember Hudson. That's where another fake PhD. – one "Dr." Oscar Cantu Sr. – ruled the roost until he was put out to pasture at Adult Continuing Education. Providence, in its wisdom, embroiled Cantu Sr. in a controversy involving fake doctorates and he took an early exit into retirement.
The question is: Why didn't Rita start as an assistant principal like the rest of the herd?
Valerie Alvardo, the receptionist for the BISD insurance department and Rochell Kuxhauson, a secretary there also, are allowed to attend college during BISD time.
If so, just who authorized this?
Now, let's see. Kent Whittemore, in charge of insurance, is known to run with Chief Financial Officer Tony Fuller. Now many BISD personnel are asking where the fairness is in all of this when the district has a policy in place that prohibits this.
Does Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Susan Fox have any answers to this or do we have to wait around as usual until she gets clarification from Alice Terry in California?

Both who you say are going to up for new positions have many years of exerience in BISD. Both are respected administrators who have produced results. Why do so many try to make something out negative or back room when ever someone is being promoted. It is not unusual for people who have similar interest to "run" with others they work with as that is the most common place to develop friendships.
Good work Mr. Montoya. You are speaking out about the wrong being done to our children, to the taxpayers, and to our residents. Not surprisingly, there are indeed many more like you, willing to go forward and to go public, without fear. But EVERYONE who knows anything about the wrong doing must also go forward and do the same as you.
Saw those signs at the mall, geting that message out that we have an alternative to these scum bags, who as you say so eloquently, the carcass of BISD, time for us to vote these guys out. Brownsville heed the massage, we cannot take anymore of these guys.

At an Elementary the Technology teacher was always at the office doing admin duties. He told everyone (staff) what to do and especially the custodians.He walked around as if he was admin.If a custodians even spoke, the wannabe admin would snitch to the illegally blond principal. That wannabe admin was working on his administration degree and lo and behold he got at job as asst principal at a middle school. The principle in the middle school is married to elementary illegally blond. principle. Did Paquita la del barrio have anything to do with this? she is very chum chum with the Mr. & Mrs.

I read this and all the other shenenigans and I can not believe that these idiots are able to pull this. We need to vote them out! We need to get this info out in the public! I am a peon who has no connections, but I would gladly walk my feet off to help bury these creatures. They do it because they know they can get away with it.
All these people have NO SHAME. Little do stupid Rick and Cortez know that the more they do, the more people dispite them. They are also are stupid to realize they are digging their own grave. Hope someone presses criminal charges on all involved.

Mr. Harris has always done this. How do you think that his groupies have gotten their jobs? Maria Segura, Mari Gael, Monica, Maria de los Santos....his assistants were teachers on paper and work administrative duties in the office. Why is Maria Martinez, his reading coach, listed as an administrator. Isn't she EJ Martinez's wife? Mr. Harris leaves messes whenever he leaves campuses....it takes a while to clean them up. He has his favorites....everyone knows it.
Dr. Rita has come a long way. She may have take an alternate route to get where she is at, but she has now paid her dues. She is a good person and a good principal. If anyone deserves this, it is Dr. Hernandez. Harris does not. That would be a travesty.
Rumor has it that Cortez who is a high school drop out might not even have his GED. You would think that would be a requirement for the position. Maybe someone should look into the legality of running for office with out a High School diploma. What an embarressment and a poor example he sets for our students.
I rather keep those people then get Otis Powers!

Don't you get it, they want to approve these administrative positions just in case they get voted out. Why is it that the more the person gets in trouble and violates policy, if they are in the click, they get PROMOTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question? Is it legal for a corporation or business with ties/contracts with BISD to host an event for a sitting BISD Trustee running for election. Any DA's out there. Can you please respond to my lil ole request for knowledge.

Enough is Enough...We once said. But nothing is ever done. People are afraid to speak up because the "legally blondes" threaten and torture their slaves. I remember driving to school with the radio full blast and thinking of all the wonderful things I was going to do that day. Well unfortunatley that has ended for many of us. Today, we drag to work...just thinking what the "Blondes" have in store for us. This used to be the happiest place on earth..the safest..the home away from home. They have turned it into the blackhole. No one knows what tomorrow will bring. Today you're in 4th grade tomorrow you'll probably end up in the 3yr. old program. Is this fair? According to the clica...take it or there's the door. Whatever you do, don't offend the clicka because you'll go straight to hell. What is the clicka? If you wear a cardigan sweater..carry a radio..and do administrative duties without a degree...ERES CLICKA. Does anyone else suffer from this? What is being done?
You are asking our DA to check out if something is illegal? You are asking the pot to call the kettle black. The word legality does not make a difference because people have lost respect for themselves and for those they serve. The only respect they care about is the lining of their pockets. Some author out there - why don't you research and write a book on the crooked politicians in Brownsville. I bet it would be a best seller. A book we can read when we go to the "bescuse."
If you are the few that everytime it's the groupies BDay and are invited to pachangas during working hours. Pachanagas that last hours even though they have 1/2 lunch.
