Using a little moisture and a spot of cold wind, Mother Nature got artistic last night and we woke up to find these incredible creations all around us.
The cold spell will hang around for a few days more, but it is doubtful we'll get an encore of these sights again soon. The photos were taken off Old Port Isabel Road and Price Friday morning before the rising temperatures and strong winds started melting the ice off the plants and power lines.
All though the day one could hear the sound of ice falling all over town. We're lucky we weren't under a power line when the wind blew off the accumulated ice and send it crashing to earth with a thud.
The photos were taken by my son Enrique and here are a few that we sent his sisters in Michigan as "tropical greetings" from Brownsville, Texas. Enjoy them. We did.
