Rumors are roiling at the Cameron County Courthouse that people are sending county clerk Joe G. Rivera a message: "Center your name at the San Benito Court Annex entrance. You may have to remove Aurora de la Garza's name before too long."

rk in sending cases to the 404th District Court, the former domain of disgraced (and convicted) judge Abel Limas."Tell your compadre Joe to start centering his name on that building," said a county elected official to a local politico. "You many have to remove Aurora's."
The building – the county annex building – was renamed the Joe G. Rivera and Aurora de la Garza County Annex Building at a dedication April 16.
The move followed a commissioners court vote some five years during the administration of former county judge Gilbert Hinojosa.
"Now why would that official tell me that?" asked the politico. "He must know something we don't."
At the ceremony, Texas State Sen. Eddie Lucio Jr. served as master of ceremonies.
News reports indicate that when the Cameron County Commissioners Court in January voted to place the names on the building though the vote was not unanimous. County Judge Carlos H. Cascos said he did not think it was good public policy to name buildings for individuals still serving in office and or living.
Did Cascos know something he wasn't saying?
Rivera has served as county clerk since 1987 and de la Garza has been the county’s district clerk since 1980.
In the wake of Limas' and former state representative Jim Solis indictment and subsequent guilty plea to racketeering and bribery charges, people have begun to look at how some of the cases involved invariably ended up assigned to the 404th where Limas presided.
"Isn't it a coincidence that Aurora's office somehow always seemed to assign the cases where lawyers were making big payoffs and bribes to Limas in return for favorable rulings?" observers ask. "She always says that the cases were assigned at random, but the evidence points otherwise."
Additionally, they say that when de la Garza's own son Joey was charged with embezzling $83,000 from Sunshine Haven Hospice in Olmito, the case was assigned to Lima's court – and he was arraigned tried and sentenced all within the space of one hour on a Friday afternoon.
Joey De la Garza spent a few hours that afternoon at the Cameron County Rucker-Carrizales getting booked before being released.
Additionally, people say that a defendant named as Person F in the latest indictment is none other than a former Limas bailiff related to both Aurora and justice of the Peace Linda Salazar. The individual has not been arrested or booked and has not been identified in federal court documents.
"It's getting too close for comfort to Aurora," said the politico. "She was very near the Limas vortex and it looks like some of that might have rubbed off on her."

Let's hope this rumor about Aurora de la Garza is correct. Auroura de la Garza is the "comadre" of corruption in Cameron County and in the Democratic Party. She has manipulated the law to benefit her family and her friends. She manipulated the system to get her son Joey off of a felony fraud conviction by using "Disable" Limas and Armando Villalobos to slide Joey under the carpet of "misjustice" in Cameron County. Even Sheriff Omar Lucio was part of that cover-up, refusing to arrest Aurora's son. Aurora is the mother of corruption and surely played a role in moving cases to "Disable" Limas' court.
IF IS STUPID TO NAME A BUILDING AFTER SITTING OFFICIALS, THEN IT IS STUPIDIER TO NAME IT AFTER AURORA DE LA PANZA AND YO ME COMO TODO RIVERA.
Aurora is the "Mother of Nepotism" in Cameron County. We think her entire family is employed with the county. Even after her worthless son Joey was given a free fide through the "misjustice" system in Able Limas's court, he was re-hired by the county. Aurora's fat daughter and others work in the courthouse. Yet no one questioned her. Why? What hold does she have on the Dumbokratic Party here???????? Let's hope that the federal investigation here includes Aurora.
Let's only hope that Aurora de la Garza's son Joey is given a re-trial after being freed by Able Limas on a felony fraud case. Joey de la Garza needs to be re-tried and put in jail. His insidious crime of stealing from the dying is overwhelming. His mommie, Aurora, used her influence and her position to get Sheriff Omar Lucio to refuse to arrest Joey, the got DA Amando Villalobos to bring the case to trial without notifying the victims in the case, then Aurora used her magic to get the case assigned to "Disable" Limas' court. To much corruption and all managed by the Dumbokratic Officials in Cameron County. If nothing else is investigated, the Joey de la Garza case is sure to be a winner for the federal prosecutors.
If Linda Salazar and Aurora de la Garza are related, we can surely see how incest infects the offspring. Linda Salazar is purely stupid and Aurora is corrupt. A bad combination.
