TORNADO-RAVED STATES GET AID, BROWNSVILLE CONTRIBUTES

By http://www.carebrownsville.com/

Alabama, Mississippi we heard you and we are on our way to do our share.
A convoy of 20 Penske Trucks are headed to tornado-stricken Alabama and Mississippi with bottled water, non perishable items, food items, blankets, new clothes, gym shoes, diapers and other utensils that are needed in the second worst natural disaster since Katrina.
You can help Texas and we are counting on you.
Operation Weathering The Storm is a community response to the tragic situation in Alabama and Mississippi said Bruce Carter OSPFUND.ORG chairman, the group spearheading the aid effort.

The effort is being undertaken with the help of many grassroots organizations including Dallas-based Accion America, whose president Carlos Quintanilla said everyone can help our stricken brothers in these states.

"Brownsville has already shown its compassion for the victims of these devastating storms," he said. "There's nothing we can do to bring back their loved ones, but we can extend our hands to them in their hour of need."
The aim of the collaboration of the diverse groups represented under OSPFUND is to show Alabama and Mississippi that we care, that they are not alone and that Texans are doing their part to ease the pain and suffering caused by this unfortunate tragedy.
We have volunteers who will operate the trucks at various locations throughout Texas and the Dallas Metroplex and we will invite celebrities and sports personalities to join us driving those trucks. We will reach out to the African American Community, to the Latino community and to all of Texas, to make our point that the time to help is now.
The number of organizations joining this effort is growing and we will fill every truck and head to Alabama and Mississippi, Accion America will also join our efforts, Carter said. The first full truck of items is already en route from Brownsville, Texas and we are going full steam ahead.
A bank account has will be established so people may contribute to this account that will be directed to the victims of Alabama and Mississippi.
The 20 trucks will be driven to the disaster site by volunteers. These good neighbors have shown that they are ready to roll up their sleeves and do some hard labor and show that the people of Texas are ready to throw their weight behind this most important humanitarian effort.
OPSFUND.ORG is a 501 (c) tax exempt organization committed to helping Children and families. Accion America, many of you know.

"The churches of Brownsville have led the way to extend a helping hand to our stricken neighbors," Quintanilla said. "They have demonstrated their compassion and solidarity to our brothers in their hour of need."

Quintanilla is a fucking joke! How the fuck can anyone trust him with a truck full of goodies? The guy stole nearly a million dollars in a Rico felony scam. He tried to repeat it in Brownsville a few weeks ago.

Who ever is controlling the purse strings fir any monetary donations better keep this turd away from it.
