Today, July 17th, 2011 – a date which will live in every American soccer fan's memory as ignominy – the United States Women's Soccer Team of America was deliberately attacked by soccer players of the Empire of Japan.
The United States had tied to a 2-2 score during 120 minutes of play with that nation and, at the solicitation of the field judges, was still in contention with its players and was looking forward to continue the game and looking toward the maintenance of dominance in the soccer world.
Indeed, two hours after the start of the game, both nations were disputing the outcome of the contest with the USA coming from behind, then Japan tying, and then the USA leading again, only to be tied at the end.
But alas, our team lost 3-1 in a penalty shootout Sunday night after coming from behind twice in a 2-2 tie.
It will be recorded that the the performance of Japan before the World Cup in Germany was not impressive at the start. But those devious little players (the shortest squad in the tournament) had a few surprises up their sleeves.
All this led the USA to attain a false sense of security that allowed the Japanese squad to plan while it deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of a perceived defeat.
The bombing today by penalty kicks has caused severe damage to American sports standing and national pride. I regret to tell you that very many American fans' lives have been shattered.
Japan has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the Pacific area and to every corner of the soccer world. The facts of today speak for themselves. The people of the United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our nation.
This shows that the level of the game is no longer dominated by our European and Latin American Allies, but rather that in the finals, it was an American team and an Asian contender for the final victory.
No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.
I believe that I interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost, but will make it very certain that this form of treacherous outcome shall never again happen to us.
Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our sports standing, our national pride, and our interests in being Number One are in grave danger.
With confidence in our armed forces, with the unbounding determination of our people, we will gain the inevitable triumph in the next World Cup – so help us God.

Los Japos nos dieron en la mother.
in this war, we were the aggressors. We marched into battle the bigger, the faster, the more agile, the wealthiest, the superior foot racer far ahead in power and quantity and quality. but the Japanese, a la Ali, outlasted the early onslaught and lulled the louder Americans into a predictable rhythm that allowed the wily Japanese to tie and crawl into the penalty kicks.
