Just when we though our friend Corina Roberstson had gone on to her eternal rest, there are indications that authorities are not totally satisfied that she died where paramedics with the Emergency Medical Services found her body.
Sources close to the investigation indicate that now authortities are investigating reports that her body may have been moved after she died.
"They think now that where she was found was not the place of her death," said a former city official. "They think that maybe she was moved to where she was found by someone else."
So far, no details of the autopsy or investigation into her death have been released to the pubic. However, may of her friends and acquaintances were stunned to hear that her death had been ruled a suicide.
"She loved to be around people discussing everything from local politics to international trade," said one. "She was acquainted with the corridors of power in Washington D.C. to the downtown Brownsville haunts of pensioners who gathered to talk around the downtown clubs like the Sportsman Bar. Her horizons were wide and deep."
In fact, Roberstson worked on the 2008 Barack Obama campaign and remained active in local politics as well. She was a member of many civic groups, including the Brownsville Historic Cemetery Association.
"It's a shame that these questions concerning the manner and place of her death are obscuring the fact that we have lost a good person," said the former city official. "But if anyone deserves that they be answered so that she and her loved ones can rest in peace, it is Corina."

That's a stupid question. How does a reporter ever get a story on paper?
I do not want to talk about whether or not I liked Corina Robertson. As anyone who knew her can tell you, she was an acquired taste. What I do want are answers to my many questions surrounding her death.
Why is Corina's death shrouded in mystery? Why wasn't there an obituary? Why, being that she was so deeply Catholic, would she commit suicide and why would she be cremated? Why was she cremated almost instantaneously? Why is attendance to her memorial service by invitation only? Why were family members on her mother and father's side not notified of her death? And finally who alerted this blog that her death had been a suicide? Was that a ruse intentionally planted in this widely read blog in order to misdirect information and thereby defer questions? There appears to be a lot of deception going on.
I have heard her say many times that someone was trying to hurt her. Did they finally do it and is it being covered up? There are alot of questions but there seem to be no answers. I have made many inquiries of friends and acquaintances and everyone is in the dark; what exactly is going on?
Something seriously stinks in Denmark.
To the writer of the third comment, where have you heard all these details? How do you know about the memorial service, cremation, etc.? I am very close friends with Corina's children, and I haven't heard a thing yet. I am asking out of genuine concern for my friends.
I would like to know why they did not contact Corina's family of her death, we have found out through the grapevine. AND WHY THE PRIVATE SERVICE, I am Corina's 1st cousin on our mothers' side and none of us have been told of her death.

Let us please respect the family's wishes for privacy at this time.
The privacy does not include her family, apparently this means only the Robertsons, I am very much a part of her family and I would like to know what happened to hern
Corina was a person who fought for what she believed. She had no reservations in saying it how it was - for her. Though we rarely agreed on things I always walked away in awe secretly wishing I had her gumption and courage to just say it. Maybe if we all had a measure of "this" our town, county, state and country would be a better place; this was one of her greatest wishes. I will truly miss her excitement and that beautiful smile.

Mr. Montoya, did someone call you and say that it was a suicide or was it on the official police report? If you can't divulge your sources, it is to be understood but you hold one of the keys to this mystery. Can you share it please.
A good reporter would do that ..report the facts. So far, we are all still waiting.What or whom is holding you back?Obviously you are an extremely intelligent person.Surely you have much more information on Corinas death?
