EDITOR:
Good to read that State Senator Eddie Lucio has spoken about Mexico's violence, noting the United States' role in arms sales and drug purchases.
However, the senator would do well to read Ed Vulliamy's piece in The Gua

Vulliamy's article, entitled, "Drug wars represents captalism gone mad," is the BEST explanation that I have read about the flourishing drug and arms business.
So, Senator Lucio, keep calling attention to Mexico (and the United States') connection with violence, but also call for federal and state scrutiny of border banks that operate in both countries.

Having Senator Eddie Lucio search for corruption in the banks is like putting the fox in the hen house to look for eggs.
The senator is so corrupt, even his mother does not claim him.
Viejo ratero!!!!!!
Brownsville's City motto, should be "Brownsville City of Banks".
Or have you not noticed that Brownsville has a bank at almost every city block? Who is banking there? our food stamp recipients? Our unemployed and/or underemployed? Our single parents? Our TANF recipients or maybe or social security recipients?
