With Pan American Airlines president Robert Hedrick, 60, held in federal ustody without a bond until a hearing Friday on charges he viewed and shared child pornography online, local observers suspect he may not have been the only Brownsville resident involved in the crime.
On Tuesday, Hedrick appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Felix Recio w
ho ruled that he be held without bond until his preliminary hearing and a detention hearing at 9 a.m. Friday.
The federal complaint charges that Hedrick shared multiple images of child pornography online from September to November, 2010 with undercover investigators from Louisiana and Wisconsin.
"When the feds cast a net, they cast it far and wide," said a former federal court employee. "If Hedrick was the only one indicted, it could be it was because he wasn't as computer-savvy as others who may have eluded detection."
The federal complaint states that the investigation included tracing the tracing of the sender of " multiple pornographic images" with undercover agents posing as teenage girls while "instant messaging under the Yahoo screen name 'sftg007.”'

Although the account was registered to a “David Anderon,” the billing address used was that of Hendrick, the complaint charges. The IP addresses also used by “sftg007” were assigned to Hedrick.
A local computer "geek" conversant in the ins and outs of cyberspace, said that many online child porn purveyors cloak their identities using other people's computers, laptops or public-facility terminals that make it almost impossible to trace their transmissions.

"I doubt that Hedrick was that adept at it if he got caught," he said. "Knowing the feds, I know that there are probably a few others in town who are walking on eggshells knowing that it could have easily been them if not for their Internet skills at cloaking their identity. They're probably looking over their shoulders now. I would be."

Why is Bobby Cervantes so quiet about his pardner in arms. Erasmo where are you on this you should be exploding with anger.
He probably has enemies that can easily hack into his internet account and set him up
Yeah how about those conversations and sharing of information he became ver close friends with Erasmo Castro who has tons of photos of young boys on his facebook page. I bet he was one of those that was just was a little more computer savvy.
Erasmo Castro was charged by Cameron County police for sexual abuse of a minor it is public record and he leads the masses in Brownsville. Hendricks you are a schumck you should have learned the tricks of the trade from Erasmo. Erasmo deny this.

-Park near an internet free/hot zone and use the net.
-Use a blind spot to trik where the IP is comming from.

I don't know what reminds me of the three mentioned people above.....they have something in common,....just can't put my finger on it....
This story is getting boring. Hendricks arrest doesn't make Fly Frontera's racketeer look any less guilty. cry for Brownsville. WTF is wrong with this place
