A siege mentality is apparently overtaken the camp of Cameron County Precinct 2 Commissioner Ernie Hernandez.
First it was daughter Erin railing against Brownsville Herald reporter extraordinaire Emma Perez-Treviño for exposing the cozy arrangement between herself, the family vending machine business and her dad and calling it a "vendetta."
That was after the very questionable hiring of Roberto Cadriel, her uncle, after a shady maneuver at the county's Human Resources office that saw the interim director (and former city commission candidate) Robert Lopez resign rather than take the heat.
An investigation is now under way by the intrepid City of Brownsville Police gumshoes to see if any criminal acts took place when someone else took the Civil Service test for him after he had failed to pass it twice. In fact, the Herald (oh that vendettious Emma again) said that the cumulative total of Cadriel's grade did not equal to the score attained by a certain female employee at the HR department.
Now we are in receipt of a FaceBook posting (since removed) from the account of one Carla Gonzalez, Ernie's new secretary, who repeats Erin's "vendetta" charge because she writes that she saw Emma with local attorney Ruben Peña and his wife at a local restaurant.
It is obvious that the Hernandez camp is circling the wagons. They better prepare for the long haul because Ernie has three more years to go before this term is up.

How pathetic, Carla is just as pathetic and ridiculous as the Hernandez family. I guess she is getting paid to be on Facebook while at work? She has plenty of posts during working hours...
Ernie, like Aurora de la Garza, is a slug who ignores the law to benefit him and his relatives. Ernie and Aurora leave slime trails everywhere they go. Ernie is an arrogant ass who promotes himself using tax dollars (Example, the signs he puts up in the precinct when road work is done). Ernie is closely aligned with other rats in the Demokratic Party of Cameron County, whose goal is to return the County to corrupters like Gilberto Hinajosa. Ernie serves himself...not the public. The Hernadez Klan can circle all the wagons they want, but they are forced to take that action because of their own stupidity, and effort to manipulate the system in their favor.
Three years? You are optomistic. Maybe the Feds have their eye on him & his family.This net is wide.

OK Bernardina,.....what time did you post this at? When was the last time you showed up for work Nina? Who is the Pathetic one? Some people don't have to sleep with the boss to get a job.
