Sources in Los Fresnos indicate that even before the arrest and temporary incarceration of Daisy De la Fuente, Cameron County Precinct 2 Commissioner Ernie Hernandez's daughter-in-law – on a DWI charge, she had been involved in an altercation at a party in that town.
Apparently, the situation was serious enough for an ambulance unit to be sent to treat Daisy for unspecified injuries. Sources tell us that the trouble started after she left the Kretz Road location of the party north of town. Reports indicate that she was traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 1000 when her car left the roadways and overturned into a roadside ditch.
From there on, police lost sight of the woman and reports indicate that she may have taken to the brush to evade arrest after her car was found in the ditch.
Commenters to this blog indicate that she called the Cameron County Sheriff's Department and that by the time deputies came upon her walking on FM 803, the alert had gone out on Daisy because she had left her purse and her identification in the car.
Sources tell us that she first gave the deputies a false name, and then she was booked in the Rucker-Carrizales jail facility in Olmito where she was released on her personal recognizance.
The car she was driving (or is alleged to have been driving), was picked up by Raymond's Towing and placed in the impound lot on Old Port Isabel Road.
Still, many questions linger concerning her quick release from the county jail and the subsequent downgrading of the charges.
"If it had been me or you," said a local bondsman, "we'd have had to wait there until the magistrate showed up in the morning before we had bail set to get us released. But since her father-in-law is a county commissioner and her husband's cousin is a jail magistrate, it didn't take more than half an hour for her to walk out of the jail."

Villalobos did support Hernandez behind the scenes along with his "cunty" office manager, Michelle "Pyscho" Garcia and Joseph "Puppy" Lopez? Oh yea, if Maria De Ford is in the mix? She will do whatever it takes to buy votes??? We'll see if the DA office will cower or kiss Ernie's wide ass!!!
