BUENA CON EL BORRACHO! BEGUM'S LOTERIA ON FOR SUNDAY

This election season will be noted for the creativity of the candidates as they stump for votes in the upcoming March primaries.
We've seen theme fundraisers, bowling tourneys, mixers, pachangas, meet and greets, etc. But one of the more intriguing ideas is the upcoming chalupa de loteria being hosted by the Yolanda Begum campaign at the VICC restaurant.
Begum's campaign is always given that certain touch of class by her managers. Remember the style show (raffle) at Rancho Viejo? Or her announcement at the Brownsville Art Museum?
Now the loteria to be held at 4 p.m. Sunday includes a nice grab bag of prizes for those attending.
How are these for prizes?:
Two chances at spending a weekend at South Padre Island.
Zumba classes
Two beauty salon treatments
Evening gowns
Home appliances
Weight-reduction sessions at local spas
In fact, there ares some 40 prizes that will be given away on Sunday. Take you beans so you can play your cards. See you there.

Innovation is good. Perhaps it shows some creativity and intensity of the candidate. I like it. Other politicos just depend on chicken plates, fajita plates and bullshit. This candidate shows some class in a boring political environment. Channel 4 is now giving away money to encourage people to watch their news programming. It's all about getting people's attention. I salute the ingenuity of Begum's campaign. But beyond that...who is she????

Oh please! Yet another advertisement for Yolanda. Juan, I guess you are bought and paid for. At least you don't deny it

Will the event be held at Cameron Park? According to the candidate she did alot to help the people who reside there. Now is her chance to show how much she cares for that part of the community by hosting an event there.

Gowns, beauty treatments, appliances ? Wow, I feel like these are prizes on "Queen for a Day". I am sure she is a good person, but what about the substance of the woman?
This just doesn't fly with me.

Is it LEGAL engaging in a "gambling" type scenario???
Are there special permits needed to do a "chalupa" ?

You are right, if someone has good prizes in a chalupa is probably a person with no substance.
And if she is getting attention but I don't know her, it is even worst, who is this person? Probably someone with no substance, a LOOSER!!!
I think it is illegal to do a chalupa in the first place.
And I don't think she has set foot in Cameron Park, over all she is a LOOSER!!
LOOSER!!! LOOSER!!

Know some female friends who regret missing this, after hearing of the turnout and winning expensive prizes never before seen with a $20 ticket
