FORMER ORTIZ CHIEF OF STAFF NAMED IN FEDERAL RACKETEERING INVESTIGATION

'LENCHO' RENDON
— A local Democratic Party candidate and the longtime chief of staff for U.S. Rep. Solomon Ortiz are named in a warrant requesting electronic communications, including emails, in the expanding federal investigation of a former Cameron County judge. [read Corpus Christi Caller Times article].
Florencio “Lencho” Rendon, who was chief of staff for longtime U.S. Rep. Solomon Ortiz, and Joseph Ramirez are among 25 individuals whose emails with Austin attorney Marc Rosenthal are of interest to federal investigators.
Ramirez has filed to run for chairman of the Nueces County Democratic Party.
Rosenthal was indicted in August on 13 federal charges, including bribery, extortion, witness tampering and racketeering in connection with a separate investigation against 404th District Court Judge Abel. C. Limas.

Speaking of Joseph Ramirez, you all should check out Armando Villalobos facebook page. There is a picture of Ramirez and Villalobos, candidate for Congress posing together; they support each others' campaigns. "Birds of a feather flock together!"

Wow! The flood gates have opened? This is the same "Lencho" REndoon that was involved with the fiasco of the Brownsville Port truck and rail bridge? The same guy that made money from the $21 million that was distributed to numerous individuals and NO bridge. This is the same guy that his name would have "popped" up during the investigation by Armando Villalobos' office? Remember CC taxpayers, Armando Villalobos agreed to take a 1 million judgment from the firm in Houston that made double millions off this "rip-off." Oh, but Armando Villalobos indicted "someone? Because it is sealed, we will really never know?
Dan Robles, its coming? Be ready to take the hot seat and spill your guts. Did you really think that the people of Cameron County believed that you stepped down to spend time with your family? Por favor? No somos pendejos! I just wonder what letter you will be in the future?

Anyone who ever knew "Lencho" could see this investigation written on the wall. Lencho casts a shadoo on the campaigns of Villalobos, Denise Blanchard and most other local Democrats. Lencho was the brains behind Solomon Ortiz and as such, was the brains that corrupted the system. Poor Armando Villalobos is walking in a mine-field in his campaign....there is his connections to Gilberto Hinojosa, Able Limas, Conrado Cantu, and now Lencho and Solomon. Villalobos, wigthout help from Lencho or someone like Lencho, will be rolled over in Washington.....he (Villalbos) doesn't have the brains or moral courage to take on Washington without a "trump card"...or "corrupt card"...line Lencho or Gilberto Hinojosa.

Juan, what'story about "El Zarahuato" G. Gavito has been indicted in connection with Rosenthal dealings....

Anonymous said...

No onw will be indicted. The Federal Government does not have enough evidence. Have those mentioned above committed crimes and done things that many of us would say should have consequences. YES. but the system goes on. Until those who have information on corruption are willing to stand up and speak the same will continue. So unless you have the balls to speak about what you know, not what you have heard, we will remain the same.
