BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Following today’s issuance of a court order providing for the 2012 Primary Elections, the Cameron County Democratic Party announced that it will be accepting applications for places on the ballot beginning on March 2, 2012 and continuing until March 9, 2012 at 6:00 pm at its headquarters, located at 622 E Saint Charles in Brownsville.
During this period candidates who previously filed may amend or withdraw their applications; any filing fees previously paid will be refunded if an application is withdrawn. The county party will be accepting applications for all offices wholly within Cameron County; candidates for offices that contain more than one county must file with the Texas Democratic Party in Austin.
Additionally, the application period for the office of precinct chair will reopen as of March 2, 2012 and continue until June 1, 2012. In conjunction with this announcement, the party released the following schedule: -Period to file, withdraw or amend application for place on the ballot: March 2 –March 9, 2012 at 6:00 pm. -Drawing for places on the ballot: March 12, 2012 at 7:00 pm. Location TBA. -County Convention: April 21, 2012 at 10:00 am. Location TBA.
-PRIMARY ELECTION: May 29, 2012 -Deadline for Precinct Chair filing: June 1, 2012 at 6:00 pm. -State Convention: June 6-9, Houston, Texas.

The Dumbokrats are the reason that this county is so screwed up and corrpution is rampant. Dumbokrats feel it is within their power, if elected, to pillage the local taxpayer accounts. The Dumbokrats have no compassion with local tax payers.....they see taxes as funds available for their support. Dumbokrats have already sold their souls to the corruption devil and are more loyal to corruption than to the public.
The Democratic Party should NOT back Democrats who are REALLY Republicans who temporarily don donkey suits!
Will the party have the courage to do just that?
I doubt it as not a word has been uttered so far, locally, state and nationally down here in Deep South Texas that can even remotely be construed as "progressive."
There might be two parties elsehwere in the United States that have some differences, but here the parties are virtually alike.
