FARENTHOLD ENDORSES ADELA IN GOP DISTRICT 34 RUNOFF

By Juan MontoyaU.S. District 34 Congressman Blake Farenthold waited until he got off the conference call with some 1,000 voters and today publicly endorsed his district field office administrator Adela Garza for the GOP nomination in the newly-created District 34 runoff election.
Farenthold said he and other GOP faithful have known Garza from her service on local public boards and that compared to the scant public service of her opponent Jessica Bradshaw, from Austin, picking Adela was a no-brainer.
Her supporters also point out that Bradshaw's Tea Party inclinations make her unlikely to attract the crossover vote that Adela was able to provide Farenthold in the 2010 elections when moderate Democrats carried Farenthold over the top despite Solomon Ortiz's enlistment of Bill Clinton during the waning days of the campaign.
In fact, Bradshaw lent her support to Libertarian Ed Mishou in that election after she placed last of four candidates in the Republican primary.
"If Republican voters want to waste their vote, they can vote for Bradshaw," said one. "Farenthold's endorsement of Adela shows that the smart money is with Garza if there is going to be nay hope for victory in November."

This is meaningless. Farenthold will have no allegiance to this area after November. What does he care and how much does his vote count around here anyway. I noted that Filemon Vela's last mailer reminded me of the movie "Sixth Sense".....about "seeing dead people". That flyer or mailer was over the top and mostly had pictures of dead people. Filemon is a rat!!

it wasn't too long ago that Bradshaw's supporters were making a fuss that Farenthold HADN'T endorsed Adela...but now that he has, its not a big deal suddenly! sounds like sore grapes

The only rat is Denise Blanchard, acting like she cares about more than herself. She was paid well, did jack shit. Was chief of staff for two measly years (some of the worst for Solomon Ortiz). There, she routinely failed to do her job - I worked with her. She was involved with trips to mexico that related to millions of dollars disappearing for a bridge that was never built. She went back to work for congress to finish a few more years after Solomon Ortiz was defeated - just so she could secure a lifelong pension of our tax dollars. Now she is back from her "consulting" firm that did nothing of note.

She is clearly self serving and has no vision for District 34 - she is running because she has no other skills than trying to look like a candidate. She sucks at that too - even though she had years of training as a GO-FER in Congress, she forgot to learn the part where you convey substance. Oh well. This whole thing will be over soon.
