FEDS TO INDICT FOUR MORE CAMERON COUNTY OFFICIALS?

By Juan Montoya
There comes a point when mere rumor and hearsay becomes flesh.
And now, sources who events have proven credible up to now are telling us that this coming week we will see the unsealing of at least four federal indictments involving members of the judiciary and at least one elected official.
The only new details we have heard are that among those named in the indictments will be at least two district judges, one county-court-at-law judge and a female elected official.
We have been exposed to rumors of this ilk for the past two years that the prosecutors with the local U.S. Asst. Attorney's Office have busied themselves prying into judicial corruption that has involved a number of prominent attorneys.
The names of Abel Limas, Jim Solis, Ray Marchan, Joe Valle, etc., come to to mind. And then there are the names of local attorneys and judges that have emerged from testimony from the witness bench of the federal courthouse as having participated in allegedly corrupt acts. People like Charles Willette, Rene Oliveira, Eddie TreviƱo, etc.,
Then, of course there was Limas himself naming names of several judges from the witness stand that he said would play along with him in granting favors such 357th District Court Judge Leonel Alejandro, 138th District Judge Arturo Nelson, 444th District Judge David Sanchez, and 404th District Judge Elia Cornejo-Lopez.
Outgoing Cameron County District Attorney Armando Villalobos, who denied he was a target of the corruption investigation when reports surfaced here and elsewhere, is said to be talking with the feds through his attorneys even as he fights the racketeering indictments against him.
Alejandro resigned unexpectedly last week, and Sanchez is rumored to be considering doing the same, according to sources close to the court.
Will the aggregate of the whispered rumors of our sources become true this coming week? All we can tell you until then is that there are a lot of nervous people in town today as the reports of the upcoming indictments make the rounds.

It's all politics as usual, just at a higher level: the feds. Given the number of close contacts between Judge Hanin and the defense law firm that fought (and lost to) Rosenthal, all the indictments should be squashed as unreliable political favoritism. The perception of that power urged Villalobos to hire the head man on that same civil defense law firm as his own criminal defense attorney. That judge should recuse and step down from the bench. It's still all Cameron County politics, just played on the federal field. So then the question: who polices the feds' abuse of power? T'ain't Judge Hanin; he's in it up to his elbows.

Nelson/Alejandro, Sanchez, Gonzalez, de la Garza?

You know Montoya? I wonder where Abel Gomez came into so much money to advertise the way he did? Feel sorry for Precinct 2! Unless the Feds are going to come knocking on his door since he was a "gofer" for Armando Villalobos, who thought he was the ultimate fixer when it came to politics?

interesting, no comments ventured.

We can only hope the female "elected official" is Aurora de la Garza....the grand dame of the Cameron County judicial process. She has made sure the "right" case got to the "right" judge. Her corruption is legendary because the judges have protected her, to protect themselves in their corruption. The best example was when her son Joey de-frauded a local hospice of "mucho" money. The Sheriff (Lucio) refused to arrest Joey...a professional Dumbokrat courtesy to Aurora. The case popped up suddenly on Abel Limas' agenda and the DA let it fly without even giving the people at the hospice a chance to show up. Of course Limas slapped him on the had with a noodle and just before Limas left the bench he dismissed Joey's case of stealing money from the dying. This saga characterizes the Cameron County Judicial System and the Dumbokratic Party of Cameron County.

The first comment sounds like CPG; she likes to blog in spanish to throw people off her trail. She befriends people like, the Velas, Cascos, Cardenas CUBCO, etc. then she stabs them in the back. How do we know; cuz she brags about those who help her and she believes adore her. When will people learn not to trust her. She creeps into their lives, offers help and then BOOM! She is the evilest of them all! Just like the evil queen in the story books!

Anonymous said...

Are they? They have being doing the same thing for many years without consequences they are sure nothing is going to happen, Limas, Villalobos , Ernie and Norma Hernandez the have no shame, they are exposed finally, but are they actually going to jail? I doubt it!!!

Anonymous said...

Could someone please give Montoya internet access from home. It's too cold to go out to the public library.

VILLALOBOS ONLY FRIEND.

THE CAMERON COUNTY CARTEL OPERATED WAY BEFORE MANDO WAS HERE. THE PROBLEM IS THAT MANDO WAS OFFERED A HAND AND HE TOOK THE ASS(LITERALY). LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT IN CONJUCTION WITH THE COURTS AND JUDGES SAW OPPORTUNITIES TO MAKE A QUICK BUCK AT THE IGNORANT'S EXPENSE. ALL OF THE SUDDEN WE HAVE AN OUTBURST OF MILLIONAIRE ATTORNEYS AND JUDGES RUNNING THE TOWN(NOTICE ATTORNEY'S FEES IN THE LAST 8 YEARS). GO TO THE PRISON SYSTEM AND YOU WILL FIND PLENTY OF VILLALOBOS VICTIMS THAT COULD NOT AFFORD JUSTICE. SHERIFF LUCIO KNOWS ABOUT THIS BUT DECIDED TO IGNORE THE CORRUPTION(FEDS ARE ON HIS ASS TOO) HE WAS ALSO COVERED BY ARMANDO VILLALOBOS ON SEVERAL OF HIS CIVIL VIOLATIONS/ ABUSE OF POWER CASES THAT LED TO THE VICTIM BEING VICTIMIZED REPEATEDLY . TO END ALL, CORRUPTION WILL NOT END IN THIS COUNTY UNTIL WE SET AN EXAMPLE OF THE ONES BENEFITING FROM THIS PRACTICES AND US THE CITIZENS REPORTING THIS CRIMES.

AS FOR MANDO HE KNEW WHAT WAS COMING. HE MADE ARRANGEMENTS WELL IN ADVANCE FOR THE ONES THAT WERE GOING TO STAY BEHIND TO DOWNPLAY HIS CORRUPTION AND JUSTIFY HIS CRIMES. IT WAS IN HIS AGENDA FOR THE ONES THAT WERE GOING TO COME AFTER HIM(EX. DA. LUIS SAENZ, AURORA DE LA GARZA, CONGRESSIONAL BID)TO KEEP HIS CORRUPTION GOING AND IGNORE HIS CRIMES.

PS.. NO HAY MAL QUE DURE CIEN ANOS..
THE FALL OF ANOTHER DICTATOR..

LETS KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON D.A LUIS SAENZ AND HIS OFFICE..

CALABAZAS LUIS????
