There was no sign of force entry, no broken doors, or broken locks.
And TSC campus police report that two laptops and an external hard drive were stolen at Gorgas Hall on the campus of the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College.
Yet, campus police could only confirm that the break in occurred in the office known as Commandant’s Quarters and office space recently occupied by TSC staff and house three offices.
What they did not admit to was that the break-in occurred after office of newly-hired Angelica M. Fuentes, previously with UTB, TSC's new dean of college preparatory studies. As the story goes, Fuentes and her staff were working late into the night Saturday to get set up and running and left late.
That was the opportunity someone was waiting for, apparently, and they entered the offices and ransacked its contents. Reminiscent of the alleged Clinton White House trashing of the White house offices prior to George W. Bush taking over, this had the same earmarks of a dirty-tricks trashing of the offices of the incoming administrator.

"First of all, there was no sing of a break-in," said a source. "They went through the files and made a mess. They even used the toilets and didn't flush them, just leaving the mess there. It was nasty."
Campus police told the local daily that an advisory sent out to the campus community on Tuesday said the burglary occurred at the building.

Reynaldo Treviño said the crime was reported at 10 a.m. Tuesday but that the crime likely occurred between 2 and 3 a.m. But although police reported that a a window was also reported broken at the Arts Center on Sunday, but did not tell the local daily that there was no sign of forced entry, leading some at TSC to believe that vandals probably had a key to get in the building.
"The campus police are not coming clean with this," said a UTB-TSC staffer. "Whoever went in and made that mess could get in and out of there without having to break in."
Gorgas Hall is at the very center of the campus, next to the main library. How someone could have escaped the eagle-eyed vigilance of Treviño's crackerjack staff has not been determined.

Those pipe dreams of Harvard on the Rio have been shattered...now Julie No-Schoolie is relegated to ass-kissing Nelson over there in Edinburg to even get a small piece of the pie! She'll probably take the golden parachute I'm sure they are offering her by now!

So next Tuesday when the UT administration says all secretarial staff is terminated and must re-apply for their jobs, apparently there is some concern. Secretarial staff of upper administration are being told to wear FLACK JACKETS and BULLET PROOF VESTS.
Wow, is this getting out of hand? Oh yeah, they will be looking for a minimum of an associates degree for the new secretarial staff.
Obviously those loyal to Julieta and UTB can't take change well. The fact that they used the toilets without flushing probably means young and stupid. Just wanted to force TSC to clean up after them. I remember hearing a student one day say loudly in the hallway that "she through her trash out the window of her car, because then she knew how her tax dollars would be spent."....and that's the nonsense that we hear from students. They make a mess just so someone else will have to clean it up. As Forest Gump would say "stupid is as stupid does".
