A CHILLING WARNING TO ERNIE, ERIN GARCIA HERNANDEZ

No one knows what the outcome will be in the upcoming Raul Salazar trial after he was indicted by a
grand jury on charges he tampered with a government document and abused his official authority in the case of the illegal hiring of Pct. 2 Commissioner Ernie Hernandez.

 Even though no one believes Salazar, assistant administrator to the commissioner, initiated the action on his own without the knowledge and perhaps suggestion by his boss, the whole town is wondering whether he will willingly be the fall guy and fall on the sword for Hernandez.
Privately, members of his family say they have counseled Raul to think of his family and his future in deciding whether the will "echarse la muleta" for Ernie. As the trial approches, that has to weigh heavy on his mind. Given the notoriety that Ernie, his daughter Justice of the Peace Erin Garcia and Norma, his wife and her mother, have earned for themselves, it is highly doubtful that the electorate will return them to their positions come the Democratic primaries next Spring of 2014.
Here's another bit of bad news for Ernie and Erin.
Those harvested votes that politiqueras Margarita Ozuna and Herminia Becerra delivered to get them over the hump – the write-ins from, elderly, impaired and the illiterate – will probably not be there this time around. Ozuna was indicted and pleaded no contest to illegally assisting a voter in the Hernandez contest against Ruben Peña in 2010, the same year that the politiquera votes helped him beat Peña by 149 votes.
The same goes for Erin who overcame a 500 vote deficit against Yolanda Begum in 2012. She also runs in 2014 because she was serving the unexpired term of Tony Torres, who died in office.
Now word has reached us that none other than Ozuna and her associates have said that just as she and her cadre of political operatives helped put him and his daughter in office, they will use those same energies to give them both "vacations."
"Asi come les dimos la posicion les vamos a dar vacaciones," was the way the message was relayed to El Rrun-Rrun.
Now, we know that Ozuna's probation includes a restriction on her engaging in political activity for a year. That will expire just about the time that the Democratic Primary comes around March 2014, but it surely won't stop Ozuna and others from working behind the scenes to make sure Ernie and Erin won't win with their votes.
Now, if Ernie is no longer in power and won't be able to exercise any influence on his behalf to mitigate the full force of the law from coming down on him, will Salazar still continue to stick to the story that neither Ernie nor wife Norma had any role in the illegal hiring of her brother Roberto Cadriel? Even a year in the penitentiary is way too long a time to do for anyone.
