Not to worry if you are a pool league player who is part of a team at Rack Daddy's on Hudson Drive.
Your team will resume league play next week. And as far as the casual customer, the business will reopen this Thursday.
Rack Daddy's was the subject of a writ of execution that was carried out Monday by the Cameron County Sheriff's Department under the authority of an order issued by Cameron County Court-At-Law no. 3 Judge David Gonzalez III June 3.
The Cintas Corporation filed a complaint and requested a writ of execution to collect on the debt for its services October 10, 2010. Over time, the amount increased despite a $13,000 credit for paymetns made by the defendant, Speed Plus, Inc. doing business as Rack Daddy's. Combined with prejudgement interst of $1,740, judgment of $14,504, attorneys fees of $8,000 and court costs of $243, the total of the judgement was $24,487.
Sheriff Department Chief Deputy Gus Reyna said his deputies seized pool tables and other property from inside Rack Daddy’s Monday afternoon.
He said that the sheriff's department will auction the equipment to implement the court order.
On Tuesday, a staff member said that the business will be open fort business Thursday for regular customers and league play will resume next week.
According to its website, the Cincinnati, Oh.-based Cintas Corporation "designs, manufactures and implements corporate identity uniform programs, and provides entrance mats, restroom supplies, tile and carpet cleaning, promotional products, first aid, safety, fire protection products and services and document management services for approximately 900,000 businesses."
It is unknown which of these services were provided in the agreement between Rack Daddy's and Cintas.
However, the staff person said that the personal cue sticks of league players were not involved in the execution of the writ.
"They're still here," he said.

Oh that's great so if we want to play pool we just need to bring our own pool table
