Does anyone believe anything that is posted by Cheezmeh and Ryan Wolf anymore?
The Cheezmeh-Wolf (of Food 4 Thought) was severed very publicly after it was revealed that the so-called "grassroots gang" had tried to intimidate at least one Brownsville barrio businesses we know of into paying them off or else "face the consequences" of their panaderia being a subject of Channel Four's segment hosted by Rrrrryan (the Rrrrroach) Wolf.For many days they have tried without exit to lure Wolf to target one of their posted restaurants. The tactic is simple: Take (or stage?) a photo of a fly or another other insect rodent or its droppings and then claim that it came from a particular restaurant or franchise.
Since this is not coming from a health department report, they can claim that they are doing it for an altruistic reason and not for their own benefit.
Take, for example, the posting on the right by Head Cheez Erasmo Castro. He posted a picture of a dead fly "someone" allegedly found in their chicken nuggets at the McDonald's Restaurant on 802 and South Padre Island Highway.
Can that be verified? What if the sender has the hots for the owners or personnel at that place? What are the mo0tives for this posting?
This has not gone unnoticed by FB viewers. None other than Bill Young, the legendary newsman and former City of Brownsville PIO posted that the complaint should "be worth at least several gazillion dollars."That was echoed by "Nun Ya" who wondered why someone would lat a fly land on their food so "the rest of us can know that we have people willing to let flies land on their food and post it?"
And just when we thought Wolf was getting shy about posting these anonymous complaints about local (read Brownsville) restaurants after getting burned with the Panaderia Capistran snafu when he went to report on it and found out the barrio bakery was closed and had different owners remodeling the place, he comes back with a tactic which may be even worse than Erasmo's, it that is possible.
He is inviting his "Food Patrol" adherents to send him pictures (not form inspectors' reports) of alleged sanitary violations of local restaurants and eateries. And wouldn't you know it, one of the first he posts (again, without verification) is one of a Brownsville restaurant allegedly taken by one of his minions. Not only does Wolf post the photo, but he also names the restaurant where it was allegedly taken. How does he know the photo was actually taken there?This is, as journalists are wont to say, a slippery slope to travel.
If a competitor has it out for you, publishing the accusations of the alleged violation on the Internet will subject the target to damages that they might not be liable for. We wonder if Wolf's bosses realize the new liabilities to which this "muckraker" is subjecting his company?Now, soliciting "evidence" from just anyone out there about alleged violations and then actually publishing the name of the restaurant without independent verification falls just shy of critical reporting in anyone's book. Whether it's true or not, the damage to someone's livelihood will already have been done. Were Maira's, Hooters, or McDonald's have a chance to defend themselves before the Wolf or Cheezmeh postings??

Channel 4 is so consumed by the social media, that it has become a social media broadcast more than the news. I used to think the weather took up the majority of the news, but now the social media facet of their broadcast is boring. They ask stupid questions and stupid people give stupid answers. If they would just report some news....we would be better off. And, the shit eating grin that Ryan Wolf displays at the beginning of each broadcast is as annoying as his body shirts that he wears when reporting. Ryan Wolf is a DICK!

You know Montoya I am very disappointed in you. It seems that you are fixated into asshats like the Cheezmeh gang and Ryan Wolf instead of real problems. Why don' you talk about TSCs little scam they have going on right now with security? Low balling UTB on price so they will reject any deal they have. And rumor on the street says that some members of the board already have a couple of private rent-a-cop companies planning to bid it on for that juicy contract. And I bet it will cost a lot more than having UTB do the work just like they did with the privately managed IT department (Dynamic Campus) having very little personnel while racking hundreds of thousands of dollars in profit to the company. Also they have job openings on the website for months on end and when you inquire about the jobs they say that they are not looking for people at the moment. I wonder if they are doing this to deceive TSC.
I hate UTB with a passion but TSC is starting to act WORSE than them. Stop hunting down trailer trash and start reporting on REAL problems like you used to.

With all do respect, you have made your point very clear and across. With that mentioned, I highly believe Linda should not be insulted much less mentioned. Yes, Ryan is a dick and business owners have the right to deny entry to anyone. I think it is imperative, that as a blogger and a good citizen you inform people and not scoop to anyones level.
