Let's see. For $4,500 for a recount of the 44 precincts and early voting in the JP 2-3 race, Minerva Peña gained four votes more.Mmmm. At $4,500 divided by four, that makes each vote worth $1,125.
Now, that seems like some pretty pricey votes. And this woman is someone who makes budget and administrative decisions on the Brownsville Independent School District's $500 million-plus annual budget?
She might have done better for herself by paying off her delinquent taxes instead, don't you think?
Actually, Mary Esther Garcia actually gained five more votes, one more than Peña thanks to the Peña-financed recount for a total of 2,635. Pete Avila, in the runoff election with Mary Ester Garcia gained two votes to total 2,492 — 143 votes behind Garcia. Albert R. Garcia, who like Minerva was kicked out of the race, gained two votes to finish at 1,136.
Can someone tell this woman about the Law of Diminishing Returns?

The relationship between Peña and Bobby Cervantes was evident in this race. Bobby is the kiss of death. Before it is all over, Bobby will turn on you too Minnie. Did you know he records all his calls?
Who gave her the $4,500 , bet ut was Baltazar from his 25,000 monthly salary. Or was it the from the kickbacks she got from Escobedo for voting along with him on his crook moves?
People are finally realizing what a hyprocrite she is and a liar. She didn't have poll watchers only one her brother and they were ready to kick him out for being an ass.
Thank god this woman didn't win, now we wonder how did she cime up with 20,000 votes on the BISD election? Could there have been some voter fraud? Why didn't she ask for a recount then?
The whole family are asses, for some reason they think they are hot shots and think their word are the only ones that count and push people around. I have seen it many times, at games, and publuc places.

Why do you think Minvera Pena was such an idiot in DPS! Everyone who worked with her said that she was an idiot and surprised that she survived that long? Some say that she reminds them of that other idiot in Elia Cornhole Lopez!
Hey Juan, are the haters here in this comment area, just jealous of Minerva Pena? It is very apparent that they cannot BS Minerva Pena. Just ask anyone who worked with her, she knew her job and held everyone accountable. So those who blog their comments here are possibly the ones who were terminated, arrested or fired by DPS for their shady conduct as DPS employees. Guess she must be a tough cookie if she is being compared to Elia Cornejo Lopez. Oh, as for the vote difference in the November election VS. March election, it is simply that people DID NOT GO VOTE in this past March Primary. People here do not vote. Simple and SAD!
While at DPS, the Peter Principle was applied to Minerva Pena. Pendeja to the max!!!!
For those that do not know the definition of the Peter Principle;.... people will tend to be promoted until they reach their "position of incompetence".
