I own a shack (chosa ) in Matamoros where once Pancho Villa slept. I'd like to donate it to the city as a historical shrine. The municipality said to take it away. The bridge will be closed for it to be moved to Bro. Da Mayor was overjoyed with excitement , elated, and overjoyed by this gesture. In gratitude he shook his G-string three times thanking Mat. for 655 their kind gesture.

If this house was built around Corpus Christi what is the significant historical and cultural value to Brownsville. We already have his home here. This building is an eyesore and a waste of money and another blunder by city officials.

Drunk, huh? If you have sex wear or have your partner wear a rubber. Remember, AIDS starts as an STD.

If stupid, ignorant decisions were a crime the mayor would be serving life. I supported this nitwit and will work my a#$ off to replace him. We are in DESPERATE need of a mayor with business acumen and morals.

Again, here is an action by Charlie Cabler and Patricia Rodriguez that didn't go through the city commission; or it was accepted by 'Da Mayor without going through the commission...nothing new for him.
Why did Charlie sign this??? What does this "shack" have to do with this city's history? Why was the public led to believe that this project was being sponsored and paid for by the Stillman Foundatiion? Here is another example (like cutting the trees at the Stillman Museum) of Patricia demonstrating a power to take action without city approval. This expenditure of $25,000 to move this "shack" is wasteful and stupid. The Historical Association seems to be a "rogue" outfit downtown...and needs to be controlled.

The memo states that the Brownsville Historical Association takes the responsibility for the maintenance of the shack. So now we should put the pressure on Priscilla Rodriguez to answer questions about the rennovations of the shack? So, Priscilla, what are your plans for the shack and what will the public see once it is opened?? Oh, we forgot, Priscilla has resigned her position and so we are left hanging with the shack just sitting there. We had heard that the Stillman family would pay for the rennovaation....is that true or will the taxpayers be left holding the bag again???? If BHA and Priscilla have a plan....what is that plan??? The public wants to know.

The city has told various cultural entities (non-profits) that there is no money to support their programs and yet BHA can get $25,000 just to move a shack that has no connection to this city.

Please spread the news on this. Maybe an organization could file an injunction to stop anymore spending on it. I know it will help me decide who on city council I won't be voting for. On the other hand, if they get it fixed up real quick like it could be used as a legal safe house for some of our new immigrant friends.

If sandy stillman was a real man, he would take some of his own money and pay for this piece of shit to be moved to the dump before any more money is waisted. The city is probably in the whole for $60,000 already. If I was the city council, I would put a guard there 24/7 to prevent a crazy indian from shooting a flaming arrow at it. Estimated at a $200,000.00 job cost to get it safe for public use and viewing. I hope this falls under Peter Goodmans office. Also a perfect project for Rachel at BCIC .
