MORE RANTINGS FROM FACT-CHALLENGED WIGHTMAN

"Hacerle caso al pendejo es agrandecerlo."
Mexican folk saying

By Juan Montoya
In his predicable knee-jerk reaction to anything posted on this blog, local blogger and misanthrope Robert Wightman is blaming Texas Southmost College trustee Adela Garza for a post that appeared here concerning the possible refinancing of $35 million in existing bonds.
If the proposal was followed, the financial advisers projected a $4 million savings in interest payments on $35 million  in debt payments.
The operative word here is "existing," but that is skimmed over in the smug blabbering of this delusional hypochondriac. Make sure the meds haven't worn off before you write, Boob.
The fact that any future TSC bond issuances will get a better interest rate now that Standard and Poor's upgrading has nothing (nada, for pseudo Nicaraguans like Wightman) with the bond debt that has already been issued.
The better interest rates available to refinance the existing debt is based on current market trends, not the rating service's recent upgrade.
If the wannabe writer had read the post carefully, he would have noticed that the same presentation was made to the TSC board last Novemeber, months before the TSC rating had been upgraded. The last presentation made to the board was made in April, also an entire month before the upgrade in ratings.
We notice where – despite his attempted personal, political and social destruction of reputations of those he hates – the electorate has been mean to Wightman, basically ignoring his advice on the candidates that have embraced his twisted logic.
Ernie and Erin Hernandez, Leo Lopez, Carlos Masso, Ricky Zayas, etc., all have been lured by the siren's song and ended up on the political shoals.
Is there one public official whom he hasn't called to resign or who he doesn't blame for bringing death and destruction upon the world? Or who is responsible for the suicides of young gay men or the spread of sexaully transmited diseases (you reading this Carlos Cascos and Rose Gowen?)
"Off with their heads," shouts the mad queen.
Bu that doesn't stop him from threatening Adela Garza "at the polls" despite the fact that she ran unopposed and just started a new six-year term. Now he's hinting and insinuating (without having to prove anything, of course) that she was responsible for providing information to this blog.
He/she, is wrong, again.
Unlike him/her, however, we have not spent more than 30 years in this profession by burning our sources. Suffice it to say that it wasn't her. The presentations by the financial advisers, by the way, were made in very public meetings of the board in November and April. Why would anyone have to "leak" anything that was in the public record?
As for checks clearing, present any proof you may have or put a sock in it, drama queen.

Good job, Juan! You don't have to waste your breath explaining anything to this nononses man, he is full of so much hate and loves talking out of his head without any facts. It's a tactic he uses to get people to sue him, this is how he makes his living.

Booby Wightman is a joke and always will be. He is for hire for sure and will say words that someone puts in his mouth. He has no independent thought and is not familiar with the local community to even be credible. He just shouts out to her his own voice....just blogs to read his own pithy garbage.

Action 4 News Staff

Members of the Action 4 News team worked together to bring you this report.

A Rio Hondo city commissioner is under investigation after being accused of domestic violence.

Rio Hondo police confirmed officers were called out to the home of Place 5 City Commissioner Joseph “Joe” Lopez on Monday.

Investigators told Action 4 News that Lopez is accused of using his arm to either choke or hold down his wife.

Accoding to the San Benito News, Lopez took office in May 2012 after winning a local municipal election by one vote.

Rio Hondo police have forwarded the cases to the Cameron County District Attorney's Office where Lopez works as an investigator.

The Cameron County District Attorney's Office reported that Lopez has been fired and issued the following statement:

“In the morning of July 7, the D.A.’s Office was informed by the Rio Hondo Police Department that it was investigating a domestic violence case against D.A. Investigator Joe Lopez. In the afternoon of July 7, Investigator Lopez was fired. The RHPD submitted the case to the D.A.’s Office today, and we have already requested that a district judge appoint an attorney pro-tem.”

And now he wants the city to make it illegal to bring antibiotics from Mexico into the city. This is, to put it in his own bombastic terms, idiotic. Who is going to police this? Does he plan on US customs now enforcing city ordinances? Or are we going to be on the honor system? From the way he writes it seems he will be expecting Rose to inspect each car returning from across the river for antibiotics. Good idea, you hypocritical imbecile, we need another unenforceable ordinance like we need another bullying blogger.
Have you noticed that according to this fool, who claims to promote discussion, that there are two kinds of people in the world, those that agree with him and scams, liars, cons and idiots. He lives in a lonely, scary world filled with self-doubt. He is threatened by anyone that he fears may usurp him. It would be a humane act to be kind to him as you would be to any other ill and disturbed individual or even a pet. He has, as I recollect, been found by army doctors to have mental disorders but he just makes it too easy. Even when you agree with him you still wish he would go away.
