SERGIO ARGUELLES NABBED IN D.F, UNDER HOUSE ARREST?

By Juan Montoya
A cascading storm of unconfirmed rerports are saying that a prominent Matamoros business and owner of large tracts of the golf resort town of Rancho Viejo has been placed under home arrest in Mexico City after his arrest at the airport upon his return there from a trip to Europe.
According to various sources, Sergio Arguelles, the founder of the FINSA industrial park in Matamoros and named as a "prestanombre" for indicted former Tamaulipas Governor Tomas Yarrington Ruvalcaba, is currently being held by Mexican federal prosecutors under house arrest.
Previously, sources say that when Arguelles went to attend a relative's wedding there, the local U.S. Consulate confiscated his business visa to do business here.
Then, upon his arrival at Mexico City from a trip to Europe, the same sources say he was detained and placed under house arrest in the Mexican capital.
Others say that numerous black SUVs have been seen surrounding his home at Rancho Viejo.
Rancho Viejo town offices have been unresponsive to questions on Arguelles' whereabouts and would neither deny nor confirm the reports.
The involvement of the older Arguelles with indicted ex-governor Yarrington has long been the source of speculation for years. That speculation was confirmed last year when Mexico's Procuraduria General de la Republica (OGR) released a list of "prestanombres" who allegedly helped Yarringotn conceal his ill-gotten gains from the theft of state funds and payoffs from drug cartels.
In January 2012, the PGR released a list of names they say were complicit in the scheme. The names were published in the newspaper El Norte and are listed below.
Related to Tomas Yarrington:
Marco Antonio Yarrington Rubalcava, brother
Maria Antonia Morales Loo, wife of Yarrington
Genaro Antonio Morales Loo, brother-in-law
Alfonso Salazar Arazola, ex-director of Tourism and International Affairs
Alfredo Perez Salinas, ex-government representative
Daniel Sampayo Sanchez, ex-private secretary
Fernando Tomas Cayuela Villarreal, ex-state prosecutor
Genaro Alberto Quijano, ex-administrator of Social Communications
Jorge Max Castillo, former prosecutor
Manuel Montiel Govea, ex-director of Social Communications
Pedro Alfonso Garcia, editor of state media
Ramiro Garcia Cavazos, ex-collaborator
Ramon Duron Ruiz, ex-Prosecutor
*Sergio Ramon Arguelles Gutierrez, businessman
Fernando Alejandro Cano Martinez, businessman
*Sergio Arguelles is one of Martamoros' most prominent businessmen and is related by marriage to Roberto Montemayor, a businessman with extensive business and real estate holdings in Brownsville and the Rio Grande Valley, including numerous properties in Rancho Viejo, South Padre Island and McAllen.
Mexican media has not reported the alleged arrest and forced confinement of Arguelles.

ARGUELLES is part of the Carlos Marin Mafia...along with IBC's Fred Rusteberg laundering his drug money....but they are the pillars of this community......disgraceful to the honest working man.
