We understand that the ad below has been rejected by both the Brownsville Herald and the Valley Morning Star.
The Port Isabel and San Benito papers did accept and published it despite the risk of incurring a legal challenge from 357th District Judge Oscar X. Garcia. The camp of his opponent – Brownsville attorney Juan Magallanes is also said to have made a flyer that is being circulated.
In response, Garcia has said that Magallanes is desperate to distract the voters from the $30,000 loan he made to convicted distirct judge Limas in 2005.
Garcia said that his response was:
UNBELIEVABLE LIMAS $30K DECEPTION!!!
Magallanes is desperate to distract you from the $30K that he loaned the CORRUPT LIMAS.
He makes OUTRAGEOUS against claims JUDGE GARCIA.
Juan, you know that JUDGE GARCIA ORDERS sex offenders to register in OPEN COURT. The sex offenders that haven't registered ARE IN JAIL where Judge Garcia put them!

This election is so sad, like all the others.Seeing participants for office tear each other apart. The only thing I question about Judge Garcia is if he did expunge a felony charge for a Harlingen City Commissioner with CCDA Luis Saenz in open court or in chambers? When it should have been a disclosure?
This is another of the races that has been influenced by the nefarious Gilberto Hinojosa. He has a vested and special interest in seeing his partner elected. Gilberto is also the special campaign advisor for Joe Rivera...thus increasing the "slime factor" in that race. Gilberto wants Dumbokratic Party corruption to be protected. We wish the best for Oscar Garcia and Carlos Cascos...who seek to remove that "Dumbokratic Party" slime from moving us backwards.
Sad it is. correct. We got a flyer in the mailbox today to vote
for Cesar Lopez, Joe Rodriguez,
and Robert Rodriguez for BISD
school board. These guys told my
wife and I they were not running
on a slate so much for that.
Then there was a previous mail ballot Mr.Lopez had against
Mrs. Longoria.So much for respect.
We voted "No" to this slate.
It's a "NO" to corruption and hope everyone else will see what's going on and do the same.
