(Ed's Note: It was a full house over at Freddy Rusteberg's IBC bank where anyone who is anyone in Brownsville and Matamoros gathered to hear the news of the coming oil and gas bonanza that will result from PEMEX's drilling in the deep Gulf of Mexico. On hand – besides the usual suspects like Carlos Marin and the United Brownsville gang – there were respresentatives from city government and the governments of Mexico and the United States (Of course, Mayor Tonmy Martinez was not there). U.S Rep. Filemon Vela was there as well as his Tamaulipas counterpart, Diputado Carlos Garcia. There was the usual talk of the opening of the energy industry to U.S. investors and preparing our area for the coming boom. Beat the drums loudly, Fred.)

THE COMING BOOM AND HOW TO REAP THE $$$$

The expansion of PEMEX activities offshore and on shore will surely have benefits for the local area. More gas and oil, as well as other products to support PEMEX exploration will pass through the RGB and Brownsville. We will benefit because of our location, not because of any actions by local leaders. As with SPACEX...we benefit because of where we are locaated....not because Tony Martinez or any of the UNited Brownsville DICKs did anything. It is good that business here will benefit and that jobs will come to the area....but let's not give credit to our city leaders, planners or United Brownsville. Maybe that's the reason Tony was not at the IBC event....he knows he had nothing to do with making it happen. Maybe Tony can rent out or sell some of the many real estate options he is holding...at taxpayer's expense. More business is good....but Tony can take no credit for any of it.
you must be smoking crack !
Groupo- R is in charge off the coast of Mezquital and will benefit from ALL of the exploration.
Really ? has the monopoly culture of Mexico suddenly changed?
Seriously stupid, seriously deluded people.
just get the LNG terminal built and begin to export CNG/LNG to parts of the world.
The Cártel del Golfo was well represented.
Off-shore will all go through the port of Altamira, NOT Brownsville. The PEMEX infrastructure is already there. The Burgos gas will go through Reynosa and on to port of Corpus Christi for the same reason.
El Señor de los Cielos sent his personal representativo .
The N.A.C.O. Intelligence agency was secretly filming the meeting for I.D.'s .
Da mayor was absent. He was in deep Consultation with El Señor de los Cielos. Tópico: How to steal more Oil from Kotex. A secret memo released from the NACO intelligence Service. The NEA was made aware too.
