B'VILLE BLUES: TODAY MELISSA; TOMORROW? WHO KNOWS?

If you are one of us three readers who read (but don't admit to it) Jerry McHale's Brownsville Blues blogspot, you have probably noticed that the name of former newspaper editor, SPI PR maven, and city commissioner Melissa Zamora (now Landin) has cropped up frequently lately.
That has sparked a swirl of rumors and suppositions from the other two readers that has included everything from someone (reading this Cris?) has greased the good doctor's palm to make Ms. Melly's life miserable, or at least become a thorn on her side.
Well, we're happy to report hat all those rumors and suppositions from hither to yon have no bearing on the truth. We have gotten it straight from the horse's mouth that it is merely a case of someone with way too much time on their hands and space to fill on his blog.
McHale decried the sudden dearth of political advertisement that filled the white space on his text block. Before, he said, he could just throw in a Joe Rivera, Carlos Cascos, Juan Magallanes or other candidates' political ads and fill it. Now, with city elections still a distant six months away, the ads have dried to a trickle.
A word of warning to the rest of us: Jerry is sitting on a trove of photos that includes most  political and other innocent people in town. Don't be surprised to visit the page and see yourself on a post.
Someone please buy him an ad. Do it in self defense. Do it for your fellow man.
