DID DA'S INVESTIGATORS MISS THIS MAQUINITA PALACE?

That's what some residents near the Sunny Skies colonia off FM 511 are saying because the eight-liner arcade is visible within view of that road.
Across the city, some eight-liner arcades have gone underground, with the Cameron County District Attorney' Office vowing to shut them all down for making payments of more than $5, the state law.
However, many players sau that there are a number of them operating surreptitiously throughout the city. DA's investigators have closed some in Cameron Park, the Southmost area, on Morningside and northern Cameron county, but admit that not all of them have been closed.
The one above, apparently, has not come into their radar although one of the principals is said to have operated one in Cameron Park that had been previously closed.
D.A. Luis Saenz has come under criticism for his crackdown on the arcade parlors but vows to continue the raids until they are all closed.
In the past, Operation Bishop, as the crackdown is called, has found several parlors operating clandestinely in elaborate sites mean to evade notice.
In the graphic above, the signs advertises that a faith healer is doing business there, a co-called "curandero Amazonico."
However, the neighbors at the colonia say that the number of cars parked there daily indicate that other activity is going on in the place.
