I wish I had thought of it, but one listens and learns.Several observers of history told me a day after President Barack Obama issued his directive to partially remove more than five million illegal immigrants from the shadows that his action reminded them of President Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation in 1863.
Such outrage at Obama even before his move toward enhancing human dignity occurred, and the same at Lincoln the moment he dared to free even some of the slaves.
Lincoln entered the history books as a humanitarian, and Obama might do the same.
Obama has a long way to go when it comes to removing totally the five million human beings from the shadows, let along about 10 million more - and it is good to repeat the term- human beings.
The "illegal" residents of the United States, millions of whom will move closer to legality thanks to President Barack Obama's humane edict, are now the subject of 14 states' racism.
Racism in two forms.
First, those states are unwilling to see the "illegals" as human beings who have been living, working and contributing in the United States for years.
They are cruel, via their attempt in federal court, to thwart the President's long-overue compassionate action.
The states, Texas included, are racist in their actions aimed at Mexicans in the United States.
No other word for it exists.
Racist.
Second, too many in those states are still livid with an Afro-American president.
Thanks United States Representative Filemon Vela and Brownsville Mayor Tony Martinez for declaring themselves in opposition to the narrow and racist 14 states.
A friend said, "The states are the problem, not the people who will finally emerge from the shadows."
Well said, friend.
I hope the effort to remove the proclamation fails, thus moving the United States closer to a nation for all.
Join the United States you 14 racists, and grow up!

Tony Martinez benefits from these "illegals" since he used to hire them to work in his homes.
The Emancipation Proclaimation was followed up by passage of the 13th Amendment to the US Constitution, so we can assume that the Republican Congress at that time agreed with Lincoln. Slaves were freed by law, while the Emancipation Proclamation was an Executive statement and not the legal basis for ending slavery. I don't think Obama has the same legislative support as Lincoln.
Lincoln's so called Emancipation Proclamation was indeed similar to Obama's Immigration declaration. They were both unconstitutional and illegal and therein lies the similarity.
It took a Constitutional Amendment after the war to fix Lincoln's over reach. Obama will get no such rescue.
It is not a form of racism to insist that Obama abide by the law and Constitution of this country. An assertion otherwise is not only foolish but displays a very immature understanding of the issues involved.
Tony is a "good" Mexican. He looks great in his Charro outfit; one of his many disguises. The Nun disguise tops them all.
First, the entire comparison with Lincoln is laughable, and to compare Obama's move to the Emancipation Proclamation is beyond the pale. The writer fails to tell the readers that Lincoln's first plan, to boat slaves all back to Africa failed to gain support. He was a great guy. If he had his way, he would have put them all back into the holds on the ships and sent them back to Africa, no doubt feeding the sharks along the way.
Obama is a failed President, and will go down as one of the worst Presidents in History. I can tell you that the Carter family probably gets down every morning on their knees thanking Jesus for Obama. Obama will no doubt knock Carter off the bottom of the list of worthless Presidents.
If these illegals want to be "Human", then they can go home to wherever it is they came from and be "Human" in their own country. If they wish to then go through the legal process to come back to America, great. The fact that they have been here for years is worth Zip, Zero. The left wing logic is that if you are here illegally for several years that makes a difference? The bottom line is that Obama has made another under-class of citizens, he knows are DemocRAT voters. If they were prone to vote Republican, he would have them in chains and have Drones out dispatched to the southern border looking and shooting on Intruders.
No Mongolians need apply.
Actually it is 25 states (half the country) that has joined in the law suit to declare Obama's "executive action" illegal.
These states are not racist, but will have to lay out billions of dollars in state programs for these folks. This money will come out of the pockets of the residents of the state. The federal government can print money and sell bonds to China and run in the red. States can't print money or borrow from China, so guess who's pocket the money comes from? It will come from my pocket and everybody else that works for a living. It won't affect the putz that wrote the article for he is probably sucking on the government tit already.
Mr. Novogrodsky: Your narrative is so moronic that it is a waste of time to comment on. I will say that you need to lay off the drugs; liberal morons of the 60's such as yourself unfortunately inhabit our colleges today. So how many G.I.'s did you spit on during your protests of the Vietnam war? You probably longed to be a member of the Weather Underground too, huh. You are scum.
Slavery now! Slavery Forever !
